GT5 XL came with all of the patches up until its release, so there is precedence for them doing that, but I don't see them doing it incrementally over time. Probably just in a re-release like GT5 XL, if anything.

Tire Type Replacement obligation
Here you can select whether requiring the exchange of types of tire during the race . If you did not replace the type of tire during the race in the state that you select " Yes " , the penalty will be given after the race.

Megaton! This will make it so much more enjoyable for longer races. Actual tire strategy (especially pre patch) and learning how to pit in and out properly were always missing in GT5 online races.

There may not be Nascar special events, but the cars are still in the game and they added some 2013 models as well according to the official car list.

Concerning laser scanning the tracks I remember reading in a magazine how they would drive a pick up truck along the Nordschleife to capture the road surface for GT4 and they listend to Britney Spears all the time while doing that. IIRC the article said it cost Sony 2 million bucks to capture the track.

I have to dig out that magazine I guess.

EDIT: I have to add that the magazine came with a DVD that featured GT4. A professinal racer drove Nordschleife in GT4 and his only complaint was that a certain part of the track wasn't dark enough as in the the shadows of the treeline were a little bit too low.

Half of that is probably the updated intro movie. I remember the GT5 Spec 2.0 intro was over 500MB.

I'm just a casual player and I'm deliberating whether or not to shell out a full $60 for the game now. If it's just the paintjobs, I can wait for a later, less expensive version. But if it's the cars that are exclusive, I may be swayed to get it now. Thx

Man, this looks terrible. Being in the mist of the car in front of you should not only blind your view of the track, but also cover your windshield in a dense layer of water.

I'm still gonna get the game, but I'm gonna try my best to avoid racing at night and in the rain. Probably won't be until late next gen that I'm happy with the weather effects.

If it's handled like GT5 (and there's no reason to think that it isn't) then there will be no need to purchase them. Once you input your code all cars will be automatically added to your garage and ready to drive.
