Grand Offroad Raid X360 pics

The only thought that comes to mind when seeing these shots is RSC3!

Come on MS, EA and DiCE. MAKE IT HAPPEN!

That looked awesome, but something seems kinda off about it. Like the cars down really belong there (and they look like RC cars).

"Wow, that looks very fun."

"The graphics in that trailer look really good. The lighting and sky look especially nice."

"looks superb."

"This looks great to me"

"The graphics in the trailer looks sweet."

- What is superb, great or sweet about this slow-paced, boring looking racing game? To me, this screen reminds me of one of those sponged water-color paintings you're forced to create in art class in school:

HD-era? It doesn't strike me as something impossible to create on current Xbox. Forza looks better on my Xbox with my 4:3 crappy telly. If this is a next-gen desert racing game I want Motor Storm quality! Move the positions forward, shock me, make me want to spend several hundred dollars on the next generation console. I want to race with Velocity Girl, but I want it to feel next-gen doing so on my Gold account. Otherwise I don't see the incentive to hop on the NG bandwagon. If this is the PC version and does not represent the final quality of the 360 version, please stop providing these links in 360 threads or more people than me will be put off (even if that surely doesn't show by the comments from people on this thread). Don't let half-ass looking games slip thru your QC claiming to be 360's which could just as easily be released for Xbox, and don't release this kind of quality trailers claiming to be the next thing to give our sacrifices to or you will loose the next round aswell Mr('s). You must have a different Xbox from me, and quite a remarkable "Crappy TV" that makes Forza look better than this

Did you d/l the video??

Xbox1 can do that?

HA!!!

Xbox1 can do that?

Ha!!!

Yes!

Ha!!!! <- 4 exclamation marks is more than 3, I win. :D

Yes thank you, I watched the trailer as I commented a while back up in the thread. Well, I'm not sure it can be done on Xbox as I'm not a games programmer, I said "it doesn't strike me as something impossible to create on current Xbox". It's not shock and awe, jawbreaking, astonishing next-gen quality to me.

Just look at this and then the Motor Storm trailer and then tell me which game looks more next gen than the other. And please just don't give me that "but Motor Storm is prerendered" argument. For all we know (if that is true), that might just aswell be its drawback as the final game might look even better... The worst for GOR might not be the quality of graphics even, but the pace surely is from looking at the trailer. Slooooooow Moooootiooooon.

This game will not make me throw 60 bucks on the counter at EB, but
- ah well, taste is an individual thing. Some have it and some don't... ;)

Jesus. Is there something wrong with a game just looking good or appealing, without it having to hold up to an arbitrary "next-gen" standard?

You should be comparing it to PC games anyway, because that's what you're looking at.

I really dont see this being done on the Xbox at all.....sure, its not the most impressive Next Gen game but the levels are MASSIVE and there is a good amount of motion blur that is much better quality than the limited motion blur seen in any Xbox game....

And of course Motor Storm looks better.....its on the true next gen console after all :D

*runs*

Wow. For anyone to insist that the draw-distance, smoke/particle effects, physics, geometry, foliage, frame-rate and lighting displayed in that trailer are even REMOTELY possible on the current-gen Xbox (or any system, for that matter), your blithering diatribes are truly a testamant to either A) foolish expectations or B) toxic fanboyism. Or drug abuse [pass the pipe, please, I wanna to see my Xbox do this amazing shit too!!] And please, no more comparisons to the smoke-and-mirrors bullshit that was the Sony conference, kiddies? Then again, it would be nice if the GAF's special brand of caustic cynicism would apply to ALL developers and nextgen platforms, not just the ones we don't like.

People are also failing to realize that the trailer in question is neither finished in any capacity, nor running on an X360 at all (PC, anyone?). This game, for a title being made by a small developer with no publisher, is looking impressive at an early state. the true judge of quality will be in the improvements made before it is picked up, so whining about collision and/or clipping is moot. Then again, this is the GAF,and these days it seems even we are not above stooping so low as to peak under the shroud of an unfinished marble sculpture, only to whine like little bitches about how rough the titties look. :)

Umm...I thought I made it clear what I found great:

Obviously this game is very rough as it's unfinished. Technically, it still has a ways to go, as Tre mentioned the lighting isn't even there (note the placeholder shadows for the trees/bush).

But artistically this game is looking GREAT. Great colour palette, models and bg look pretty realistic (despite the lack of any shadows).

Conceptually interesting as well.

How old are you Brosa?

RSC 2 didn't feature 200 cars at once dude.

You don't have to thank me for clarifying...I'm just a videogame racing freak. Hey man, if you have any questions regarding racers and racing games, I'm the man to ask.

haha wow, thats pretty damn impressive, im psyched for this game. and its only early WIP. 360 is a much stronger machine than many will ever give it credit for. <---NO XBOT here, ill give every console a fair chance, im gullible enough to believe the CG sony showed was actual target videos, and thats what we will see when the console is released, why trip about it now when there really is no foundation?? we will find out in due time... :D

Shut up no one buys rallycross games.

Shut up there have never been a rallycross game.
Except that game on the psx which had nothing to do with it. It sold more than any other rally game in America though. :lol

Where does this '200 cars at once' come from?
