Is anyone else incredibly happy to have Grant Hill back in the NBA?

I mean, really... the guy's been through a lot. He nearly died from a staph infection, then when he gets out of the hospital with that, the doc tells him that his wife has MS.

I'm honestly glad to have him back.

Grant Hill rocks, except for that turd he threw up against Jason Kidd and Cal in 93.

I'm really happy for him, he played in his 50th game tonight of the season.

Christian Laettner = Four Final Fours and Two Championships.

Grant Hill = Three Final Fours and Two Championships.

Two of a dying breed in basketball, no one else still playing has two championships, and I don't know of anyone who has made three final fours still playing. With the way people turn pro nowadays, we may never again see someone play with that many Final fours, much less championships.

Back in the the second grade there was this really cool kid who always was in love with Penny Hardaway. I was in love with Grant Hill. Who's the cool one now?

(Yeah, I know, neither of us.. :( )

Feel good story of the year in sports imo. Great guy who deserves all the success he's having after what he's had to endure the past few years. Though there is an NBA thread up top... ;) :p

His 39 tonight should have been the top story on ESPN.com imo.. the guy shoots 12-16 from the field and 15-16 from the line. You just don't see that these days -- truly an amazing player. If he hadnt gone down with that injury, I think he'd be on the shortlist of greatest players of the past 30 years without a doubt (and arguably still is).

Isn't that a bit much? Looking at tonight's boxscores, I see three other players with somewhat similar scoring stats and better all-around stats :lol

Good for him though. Hope he can play many more years :)

No, because this guy does it every night. He's shooting 51% on the season (10% higher than your golden boy) and most of his baskets are 18-20 foot jumpers.

If he did it "every night" he'd be top 15 in efficiency rating like the other three guys (Dirk, Kobe and Tmac) who put up comparable to better stats and numbers tonight. Grant is #46.

Not to take anything away from him (he's having a great year) but fg% is not everything and he's not even the best player on your team :p

Musashi Wins!

FLAWLESS VICTOLY!
He seems like a nice guy.

That said, his leaving was the best thing ever for my team (Detroit). So...good for him! As long as he is playing somewhere else.
