Graveyard Keeper was offered for free to advertise the announcement of its sequel, on PC and the consoles.
Turns out the free giveaway was a success. Graveyard keeper 2 is now the #93 top wisthlisted game on Steam with 450k. More wishlists than Atomic Heart 2.

Tinybuild, the Publisher also raked in almost $250,000 on DLC sales, on Steam alone (wtf?!).
That's not bad for a 9 year old game and it was never a blockbuster to begin with.

I bought the first one years ago and have tried to get in to it a couple times, never could really figure it out. Everything is just very poorly explained and paced, very confusing and obtuse. Both times I gave up after a few hours.

Played it years ago a little after Stardew Valley. It felt like a pale imitation and seemed very unfinished. Maybe they built on it over the years?
