Gravity Rush director Keiichiro Toyama interested in making a new Gravity Rush game and seeing Sony port the franchise to PC

I bought both games because I LOVE everything about it except the navigation, combat and missions they're just a bore to play.

One of the most disappointing games around, the visual design is very interesting and character design is good, but the story is full of lame anime cliches, which could be tolerated but the gameplay and combat is so incredibly boring and non intuitive.

I doubt Sony is interested, sales have just been too low.
Also while the first Gravity Rush was a really great game on PSVita, the sequel was just a missed opportunity. The plot felt absurd and disjointed and the gameplay was ruined by the terrible camera, forced stealth missions without any stealth mechanic being implemented into the game and some awful powers (the sections where you had to use the earth/heavy weight power were atrocious).
The graphics, art style, music and free roaming were great though.

Please please please!!!
Gravity Rush is the console exclusive I want to see on PC the most. I never owned a ps4 but I played a bit at a friend's and I really dream about being able to play through the series on PC one day. It's so unique.

Honestly i'm worry about Sony, Jim Ryan and Hermen Hulst don't seem to give a fuck about other games than western panpan boumboum or some Marvel, i mean they have time exclusive deals like FF16 but that's it, have you see Xenoblade 3 trailer? and there is Bayonetta 3 as well, man Sony is so fucking weak in the Japanese side, quite ironic cause they used to be the best in that area. Can we remove hermen Hulst and bring back Yosp please FFS?

Not too worried. Sucks what happened to Japan studio but they mostly stopped making good games post PS2 era. Most of Sony's japanese output has always been third party and nothing has changed in that regard. Playstation to me still is the best console to play JRPGs on, simply because it gets the big games like FF but also the smaller stuff like Atelier. With Switch and Xbox it's either or. Xbox tends to get the AAA titles but lacks in smaller games. With Switch it's the opposite.

Xenoblade 3 looks nice but i can't play Switch games anymore. I can't deal with the framerates and low res, lol.

the second game needs a port... that game felt like ass to play and kinda looked bad too after playing the extremely well made 60fps remaster of the first game by Bluepoint

I'm wondering if this source is conflating what the director really said 👀 bringing up a PC version seems completely random especially all this time.

This statement is like the perfect example of why they were shut down. No new ideas, unable to get a successful IP off the ground and all they produced is Gravity Rush in the past half decade

Man still can't let go

I would love to see a Gravity Rush 3, but if Days Gone to my knowledge couldn't even get a sequel after all the sales it apparently got, I really have my doubts Sony will green light a GR3, especially since it's a rather niche Japanese game.

Yeah, I'm just having difficulty coming to the realization that Sony is becoming a fully Western company as much as Microsoft. Getting a timed exclusive third party Japanese game every now and then is ok I guess, but it's clear where their focus is. Only having Polyphony and Team Asobi to my knowledge in your Japanese first party when you have so many developers speaks volumes in the direction Sony is heading. I'm not going to even mention the focus on multiplatform and service games either. I'm concerned as well.

I'd like to see them ported to PC and to see a third one made by Toyama. Plus Sony publishing or supporting Toyama's new IPs. Or Sony buying Toyama's studio.

and whats is the problem with 30 fps??

we are talking about masterpieces... jeez
In crisp looking HD 3D games, 30fps looks at odds. Are you among the people who had no problem with Bloodborne being 30 fps? Because if so, then I don't think we will ever see eye to eye in a performance related discussion.

You want Yoshida to be back when it was under it's direction that Sony stopped pushing there Japanese Side. The PS3 and PS4 generation was really bad for Japan Studio and they were going nowhere but Yoshida didn't really try to change things. Honestly if Hulst find new Japanese studio to work with Sony it will be better than what Yoshida was doing for more than a decade.

I'd take Yoshida back if it means more Everybody's Golf. I'll go to Hulst's house and flip his PS5 right-side up if he puts Clap Hanz to work.

Yeah, Japan Studio fell off after the PS2 era and never recovered.

2nd game is an example of something becoming worse in the transition from handheld to home console. 1st game, one of the best handheld games I've played.
