Greatest Fighting Game Character's Ending

Who do you think has the best ending in a fighting game? SSBM doesn't count or any other party-style fighting games. :P

I've been playing them for years, while not hardcore, but a decent fan. And I can't say I was blown away or laughed as much as I did when I saw Sean's in Street Fighter III. I can't post pics of it because I can't find any, but it came from nowhere. Anyways, what're your thoughts? Include a picture if you can, please.

Almost forgot, include what happens! Basically, he's celebrating his victory and everything's cool, then bam! He wakes up with a fat eye and fat lips and it turns out he was dreaming. It was in the semi finals or something like that. heh, it was pretty funny.

Quan Chi in MK4: Chi turns on Shinnok, revealing that he has had Shinnok's amulet for the whole time and that the one everyone was fighting over in MK Mythologies was a duplicate. One of the better plot twists in a fighting game.

Jin in Tekken 3: Heihachi, afraid of Jin's potential power, turns on Jin and has him gunned down by the Tekken Force and then delievers a final shot to the head himself. As Hei walks away guards are tossed around like ragdolls. Hei turns and sees red eyes glowing...and then we get our first look at Devil Jin...

Kuma owning Heiachi at the end of Tekken 4. As he took over control of Heiachi's Daibatsu

It's tough to pick just one, but I'd have to say Kage from Virtua Fighter Kids is the best.

Kage is playing mahjongg with three other ninjas, and his hand is shaking as he puts his latest draw into his wall since he's just one tile away from having the rarest hand possible.

Then when he discards, the ninja sitting across from him goes out.

After a moment of shocked silence, he vaults over the table and kicks the winner.

Cut to Kage sitting on a rock facing the sunset and a big tear runs down his cheek.

Honorable mentions:

Ill, Mary, Oliems from Tobal 2
Jacky, Sarah from Virtua Fighter Kids
Zangief, Blanka from Street Fighter 2 : World Warrior

Silly comedy beats crappy wannabe serious fighting game plots any day. :D

SF3:TS has some great ones.

Hugo's is particularly good; Bested by Hugo, Ryu joins Hugo's wrestling group (the H.W.O., Huge Wrestling Organization), to learn the fighting technique that beat him.

Akuma: he's meditating on the bottom of the ocean and then uppercuts a passing submarine in half.

I remember Pocket Fighter having some awesome ones, but I can only remember that Zangief's has a bit where he's doing that Russian kick-dance with Gorbachev.

Dude... there is only one greatest ending

Eyedol (Killer Instinct) - a spoof of Blankas ending only he beats the shit out of his mom.

greatest ending ever!

:lol :lol

Jin's Tekken 3 ending.

The Tekken has series has the best endings, no doubt.

Definetly, but I wanted to hear of some that I hadn't seen before. Kuma's from 3 kills me every time and Bryan's just kicks ass. He shields his face from that shitty hail of bullets like it was just harsh wind and then he mounts atop that tank and that laugh > humanity.

I found Sean's ending almost quasi-racist!! The central messages in it seem to suggest that Sean is "lazy" and "unmotivated" even though he beats everyone!

It is also mildly insane to see Sean's "black face" characterization as he is laying beat up (huge lips anyone?)

Oh yeah, Booduh, I definetly caught on with that, I think that's why I laughed so hard. But I guess it's alright as long as it's not coming from the man. But then again, almost all of the street fighters are these ethnocentric stereotypes.

I like Dudley's from SF3rd, where he's in his rose garden and is told that there is a boxing match in like six hours. So he freaks out and says "Run!" and the shot pulls back so we see that his rose garden is a tremendous maze.

Chun Li from Super Turbo. She visits her fathers grave and then gets to decides wether to become a private eye or a nightclub socialite. Thing is, no matter what you choose, they show you the same picture of Chun Li decking some guy and doctor her clothes for ech occasion. The best part is her date\partner in the background who is in the same pose in either ending, but holding a either a gun or like a wine glass. It made me laugh.

Lei Fang from DOA3. It is surpringly well directed like a movie trailer, and they really make you look for your panty shot.

These two seem stuck in memory:

-- The unsurprisingly naughty stylings of Morrigan's Darkstalkers 3 ending.
-- And on the other hand, the nice romantic bit for Leon in DOA3.

Look, a fighting game is a fighting game is a fighting game. If you want to talk about some aspect of fighting games, singling one out because you don't happen to like it is tantamount to blinding yourself. The whole point of catagorizing games into genres is so that you can compare various similarities between them. Lock 'N Chase is a terrible maze game, but it's still a maze game, and when you talk about aspects of maze games, Lock 'N Chase's lockable passages should be included in that discussion even if the game sucks.

And seriously, if that comment is bannable, that's a hypersensitive hair-trigger. It'd be almost as retarded as claiming that SSB/SSBM isn't a fighting game and/or shouldn't be included in the discussion of fighting games.

Ok, off soapbox now... best fighting game ending? Power Stone: Falcon

Come on, don't troll my topic. Go play some mario party. Better yet, let me buy you a pack of gum. I'll show you how to chew it. >:P

Kudos for mentioning Mokujin's wife :lol

Seems to me that Stick made the initial troll by giving you a million butt kisses for your little slam (and troll in it's own right) on SSBM... :)

As for the growing skin and what not, guys, I'm a strict casual when it comes to fighters. I have SSBM, but I've played it even less than GGXX#2. I really couldn't care less about some minor nitpick on a game. The mindless attacks against SSB/M, however, are just stupid.

What about Li Long from Soul Blade? He stabs himself in his final win animation! He dies!

Actaully Soul Blade has lots of great endings just because they are interactive.

I don't know but I just saw the Paul Phoenix "Aliens" ending in Tekken 5 last night and it left me scratching my head.

Havent seen that one yet, but Bryan Furys ending is a spoof on Predator.

"But where is the champion? Where is Ryu?"

Best ending ever. And then uppercutting a waterfall... I was blown away when I saw that as a kid. Anybody ever try doing a dragonpunch in real life after that?

Anybody?

Marvel vs. Capcom had a fair share of excellent (Spider-Man, Strider, Roll) and terrible (Ryu) endings. I think the best that I remember had to be Morrigan's ending. Ryu jumps in to challenge her to a battle, and so they fight... Super Puzzle Fighter-style! It was hilariously unexpected, and you get involved with watching the fight and disappointed that it doesn't continue.

I remembered playing the import of Powerstone with Rouge, and was a bit surprised at her ending. (Not to mention the tassels she has when she's in her powered-up mode.) I was doubly-surprised when I glanced at a US version and saw they'd left the ending in.

I also loved Ryu's ending in SFII.

I haven't played the game in years, but I thought Kage's ending in Virtua Fighter Kids was the funniest shit ever.

edit:I just noticed that Sea Manky mentioned Kage's.

Oh, Tobal 2's endings are also pretty sweet. Funny as hell!

I particularly like Gren's. He's shown studying in his room, against his will apparently. He walks over to the door, peeks around to see that there's nobody near, closes it, and begins sparring. His butler/guardian starts to approach his room. Even as the butler is turing the knob he still spars. But somehow when the butler enters the room is all tidy and neat and Gren appears to be cramming, and the butler nods in approval. The camera then does a panoramic-zoom out, showing that he lives on an island shaped like a G. Little rich motherfucker. :P

:\ I miss the real Dream Factory.

When i had graduated middle school, I was visiting my father, and while he was in the bathroom shitting, I did a dragon punch and busted the light bulb. It was embarrassing as hell.
