I'm more disappointed in the lack of a demo derby DLC pack. We've been racing the same track for 3 games now.
Guys, what the hell, nobody was complaining about the grinding in this game before.
Ok, I don't know how this affects the online multiplayer because I only play solo, so maybe you're right to complain. But for me it seems you guys are overreacting. =P
Personally, as a racing games enthusiast, I do enjoy the slow progression.
Yeah I don't really mind the grind per se... I just wish we could do the big championships without having to do all the endurance and drift crap.
Under no circumstances did we make the game a grind on purpose (that much I can promise you), in the grand scheme of things it's still relatively easy to progress via single player and online it's not that difficult to earn money.
Regarding the extra rewards for x2 race length etc, it's unlikely at this time.
I've made a quick comparison to demonstrate:

GRID is on default steering settings, I am just changing the steering lock from 270 to 900 in the T500 driver. I could put any sim in the middle there, iRacing was just convenient to compare the same car and track. The video should hopefully show that GRID running at 270 exhibits similar responsiveness to steering inputs to a sim running at 900.
Speaking of endurance, one bizarre thing that I've noticed is that the AI always go like crazy on the Sheene turn on Brands Hatch. They always brake insanaly late and put at least two tires on the grass. It's suicidal not leting the AI overtake you before that turn. They'll always ram into your car. Is there a way to fix that, Loore?
But do these progression packs sell well because players feel like the game is a grind?
Welp... So a bunch of websites picked-up Loore's post here about the paid DLC in Grid 2.
Was nice knowing you Loore!

I've not been taken out back yet
I won't stop talking to you guys either, it is my job to answer questions our Community has, sometimes the questions are hard, but I don't ever want to get to a point where we shy away from it. If we ever get to that point then I would have failed as a Community Manager, what's the point if you can't talk to your Community through the bumpy moments?
I assure you that iRacing is seeing my wheel as 900 (actually about 880 after calibration). As with several modern sims, it applies the correct lock for each particular car. So in the case of the 12C GT3, iRacing sees the wheel as 900 but applies its own soft lock at about 540, as this is roughly the lock of the real car. The same goes for rFactor 2, PCARS and AC. RaceRoom sticks with the older convention of having a ratio adjustment, but the result is the same once set correctly. Thing is, even if I set the wheel to 540 in the driver to play GRID, I'd still have to apply more steering angle than these sims at 900 to make the same kind of balanced turn.OK, I see your point but I still can't comprehend that shown 900 for iRacing is actually 900? The movement of the rim is simply too "short", there is nothing "natural" there. Shown 900 for GRID looks to me as 900 should look (and be executed) IMO?
I am surprised with the behavior of the wheel in the "900" mode in iRacing. Car is literally steering like it is F1 vehicle, even faster. Hm, I find it strange.
Shown 900 mode in GRASP looks way more natural and in line with the sensation I expect (and I have in the games I play) when using 900 mode.
Regarding the boost pack we did similar with GRID 2 as a car unlock, we got a bit of flak from that but in all honesty and without any PR bull shit...it sells. There is a silent subset of players that do like that sort of content but whether or not it's here to stay is something the industry is yet to work out.
I can't really say anything else, the only response I have for you is the total truth. I don't want to spin it or anything like that. I'll probably regret this post in the morning, but hey-ho
Can the DLC be used in career mode? DLC only work in custom races and online?
A rhetorical question? How is this game selling?
Isn't the camera effect supposed to be akin to a TV signal that goes awry? At least that's what I remember from Grid 2..haven't crashed much in G:AS
About damn time
Any news yet?
PC GAF, we just dropped a patch that fixes a few things as well as adds a couple of new things in.

Dead online for the PC too in many regions if the Steam forums are anything to go by..cheating doesn't help things either although CM are patching in VAC.I picked this up on ps3 today and online seems to already be completely dead? The game is not even two months old, and it's Sunday afternoon and not a single person playing online? Pretty disappointing. I guess the game must have flopped pretty bad?
Each new geographical area ('Hong Kong', 'California', 'Cote d'Azur' and 'Okutama Sprint' ) contains six layout types, which are accessible through a 'Sprint' game type that's similar to a hill climb or rally stage
Well..this thread has died in the arse.
Team VVV posted a new pack has been released that allows players 'to revisit four locations from last year's Grid 2'.: https://www.teamvvv.com/en/news/com...Sprint-Pack-mini-expansion-for-GRID-Autosport
From the VVV article:
Well..this thread has died in the arse.
And for those asking if this title has died out (sad as Autosport a solid racer), here are the Steam stats: http://steamcharts.com/app/255220#3m
