Ignore the fact that I worship Super Furry Animals and think they're the greatest band of all time for a second.

Well, I procured this album say, a month ago. I won't say how, but I did. On my first play through, you could say I was a bit disappointed. The melodies weren't really there, the music was a bit too simplistic, and the production was pretty bare. And to top it all off, the lyrics are pretty much gibberish to most of the world, including me. A sample:

Five million listens later, this is seriously the greatest pop album I've heard since SFA's Radiator. IT'S SO FUCKING SIMPLISTIC, IT ETCHES ITSELF INTO YOUR BRAIN AND THEN MAKES YOU WANT TO LISTEN EVERY FUCKING MINUTE OF THE DAY.

Holy shit, I love Gruff Rhys.

If you like SFA's Mwng, this is an essential recording. I forget when it's coming out in America -- actually, I think it's coming out in a couple weeks, like Feb. 28th or something, but get it!

It's also an extremely old language as well. I really should learn it sometime but I hated learning it at school. What is it about learning languages at school that just sucks any fun out of doing it?

Yeah, I think I forgot to mention that he sings in Welsh. Oops.

Some of my favorite Super Furry Animals songs are off their entirely Welsh album, so I definitely mean no disrespect.

Welsh sounds like an inscrutable Moon Tounge to my ears. Having said that, what can compare to listening to lunar folk-rock?

I'll buy this for sure. Double-checked, I think it hits US on Feb 22.
