GTA 3 Liberty City in BeamNG - Trailer.

Oh man, that music reminded me of the original GTAIII trailer.

Also, I don't like to port beg, but I want BeamNG on next gen consoles.

That is my favourite GTA city by far, it's really small compared to subsequent maps, but manages to have so much variety and feel larger than it is.

Also nothing beats Rise and MSX FM.

Yes! I totally agree.

I think the mod would be better with overcast weather to better capture the atmosphere of Liberty City.

I'm surprised rockstar hasn't brought out remakes or remasters of the GTA3 trilogy out for current systems. Keep the city layouts and gameplay the same but upgrade everything graphic related (textures, lighting, character models etc...). Perhaps the only gameplay tweak for gta3 and Vice City would be to update the controls to match San Andreas (like being able to control the camera with the right stick). I mean they don't even have do this internally, they could outsource it to a reputable developer who is experienced with this sort of thing (like Bluepoint Games). Seems like it would be easy money.

I would play this for sure. Maybe for the 20th anniversary of each game. I remember for the 10th anniversary they just ported the games to mobile but I thought it didn't look quite right visually. For example, the character models in San Andreas looked shiny like they were wrapped in plastic or something.

Beam physics engine has impressed me since its introduction in the open source sandbox game Rigs of Rods. The amount of work that went into is is quite impressive. I honestly wonder why it hasn;t been licensed out to some big developer yet. Does Rockstar still use Euphoria for everything?
