GTA Online: Lowriders - Benny's Original Motor Works Trailer

reminds me so much of San Andreas and i doubt we'll ever get SP dlc. i've gave up waiting/hoping. if it happens then cool.

I don't know, last thing I saw from them was an article or something where they said they were focusing on GTA online and not on SP at all (I think they said at the moment they have no plans for SP even... they didn't outright say never but they did say they weren't focusing/working on it at the moment).

I think their cash cards were profitable and they just don't care what profit they'd get from SP anymore as they've decided the cash cards make way more than an SP DLC would.

I'd honestly give up on getting SP DLC (Hell it's been 2 years now since the game has been out and the last time they ever implied there was going to be any was a year ago or more. And if they aren't working on it by now I doubt they ever will). If they ever do get around to it you'll be pleasantly surprised at least.

Hell, I kinda wonder if they haven't decided to not bother with SP anymore at this point with GTA. Or at least it's not going to get near the focus anymore as apparently MP with cash cards makes them a lot more money. I bet if anything it will end up like COD where the SP is just really a training ground for online. And this is why some of us who like SP games feel threatened when they insist on putting MP in a SP game (when people complain at us when we are happy to see a company announce no MP and they are focusing on SP only).
 
Looks like pretty cool additions. The other trailer they had for this released last week looked like they'd have some more controlled multiplayer missions from Lamar too, with a lot of cut scene content. Other than heists, all other missions for GTA Online have just been delivered via text and you get one small "thanks man" cut scene at the end of it which is repeated... These Lamar cut scenes seemed a little more staged, like real missions, which is cool.

Now, whether you'll actually be able to play them assuming they require 4 people is anybody's guess. For any non-Heist, non-grinding missions that require 4 people or more, it's basically impossible to get them launched unless you have a dedicated crew of people playing.

Also it's very disappointing, but pretty clear that single player DLC is never going to come out for GTAV. It's been over 2 years since the original release and just about a year since the PS4/X1 release, and it seems obvious that they're not putting any resources into the single player game other than small bug fixes here and there.

i cant wait for the gen 8 only gta 6. its going to look insane. god only knows how many years the wait will be! but yeah, SP for gta v seems 100% done.
 
Looks pretty cool! I wonder if there's some cool physics stuff you could do with the hydraulics, like if they can effect jump height at really high speeds.

I'm going through the heists on x1 for the first time. It's a nightmare trying to find players but when you have a group it's pretty fun.

The matchmaking implementation is atrocious however. Lucky the game is so much fun it's almost worth all the waiting
 
It seems that GTA Online is their cash cow and they won't be bothering with any SP DLC for now. Which is somewhat good, if they focus development on the next GTA instead, then i'm fine with that.

Are you sure it's a good thing? Because I would guess that their focus on the next GTA will be more on online too when they see that it is more lucrative. I would guess that what we'll see is less and less emphasis on the single player and just using it to entice people to go over to MP (kinda like what I hear has happened to COD).
 
Very detailed and cool looking. I'm not into lowriders or customs of this style, but glad for those that are. I'm betting these customs will be quite costly and will make for excellent shark card bait. My bank account however will not be thinned by this addition.
 
Looks kind of neat, will probably fire it up and play around a bit to spend some of the cash that I've accumulated but run out of things to spend it on. Have a stable full of super cars, guess I can make a stable full of low riders as well.
 
Yea don't think SP is happening. The best we can hope for at this point is a huge expansion but full price, like GTA V part 2. Same world/characters etc, just new story and new things to do and can act as a stopgap between GTA V and GTA VI. Even then I'm not getting my hopes up since RDR2 will probably be out 2016 or 2017.
 
I've tried to play it recently and met really small lobbies. Is the game segregated by aim preference?

If so, which auto aim option has the most players in it?

What platform are you playing on?

PC - Free-aim.

Consoles - Standard aiming with the soft lock (default). Free-aiming lobbies will have less people. Mostly deathmatch specific crews are in them.

Also are you in a crew? The game will automatically try to log you into a lobby with people on your friends list or follow crew members. Usually if you log into a small lobby, just go into the menu and choose a new lobby. You should get placed in a bigger one.

Yep, it's free. Rockstar said they'd never release paid multiplayer DLC for GTA Online because they don't want to splinter the community. Everything released is free/accessible to all, BUT in order to use it in game you usually have to spend some of your in-game money. It's easy to get money in GTA Online, but things become progressively more expensive. I've made about $6.5million in GTA Online which has given me access to mostly everything I've "wanted," like multiple properties, plenty of cars, access to planes and attack choppers, every gun that's available, fully modded special cars, etc., and haven't had to spend any real life money on it.

The matchmaking in this is still so ridiculously horrible though. Well, it's non-existent. It's a real shame too because it means modes that were amazing on GTAIV, like Cops n' Crooks, are unplayable on GTAV because nobody else plays them with you because it requires this ridiculous luck of needing to invite some random player to a game and have them accept your invite and hope they want to play the same thing as you. all I want to do is play versus style jobs, for fun, with other people, but alas, those days will never come. Only modes people play online are grinding missions, grinding 1 lap races, grinding a heist and sucking t it, or Stunters vs. Snipers (or some variation of that). None of the other staged versus modes have anybody playing them, which is such a damn shame.

I'm surprised because Heists usually fill up relatively quickly because people want to play them (but are horrible). But if you try to do any other missions, like the Adversary (2v2) missions, they'll never ever fill up. It's always been a problm with GTA Online. I don't think anybody has ever played a full match of anything, ever, but Rockstar seemingly doesn't even recognize it.

They confirmed it with the Director Mode DLC. Something about adding more content to old gen would break the game, iirc.

The same happened to me on Xbox 360. And when people actually decided to join they had no clue what to do. Heist experience is really awful with randoms, especially when they don't even put their headset on. I don't understand why Rockstar thought it was a good idea for people to rely on randoms...
 
The lowrider DLC also allows you to own a 4th property.

There is also surprise Halloween DLC coming Oct 27th. <Make sure to buy those vehicles because they are probably limited time.

I still play GTA Online once in awhile once a update comes out.

The game could be so good with a decent matchmaking playlist. I mean I get what they were going for with the phone system but it really doesn't work in practice. I don't know what they could even do at this stage to help it. Not that they even would though.

After an hour and 4 attempts I finally got one of the setups done. Now I'm in a lobby doing the whole thing over again haha... Sigh.

Oh man, I just played a setup with two <level 10's and a high rank who was lagging all over the map. The mission with the gun truck for Trevor.

Nevermind the ridiculous wait times for the matchmaking system, Or the stupidly bad random players who join. All of this and people join without mics means I've no chance. Honestly as soon as I get the heists done I'll probably stop playing. It's becoming frustrating, I'll go back to Gears UE
 
Looks cool, but honestly, R* wasting their time and money on these GTAO updates is killing me inside.

It's been two fucking years since GTAV came out, and not only we know jack shit about their next game (be it RDR3, Bully 2 or whatever they want), but they didn't even announce a SP dlc for it.
The Remaster/PC version was great, but c'mon man...
 
I know this stuff makes money, but I wonder if they're really happy making stuff like this? To me this is like when Team Fortress 2 transitioned into delivering new maps into just delivering hats.

That's speculation. Just because they are heavily promoting MP doesn't mean that they will deliver a half-assed SP game in the next iteration. They 're not Activision.

It's surprising, considering how terrible it is with matchmaking and whatnot. Doing almost anything takes ages.

But word-of-mouth + youtube + typical GTA antics and constant support keep people interested. Not to mention an endless leveling system.

I gave up after i played all the Heists with friends. The horrible loading times and matchmaking are the main reasons. Why they couldn't implement a more streamlined online structure like IV's, is beyond me,

The content supposedly contains:
2 Cars: One called a lurcher - looks like a hearse and has a zombie in the back. The other is named btype2 - looks like a convertible roosevelt

Lots of masks: Pumpkins, devil, zombie, serial killer and monster types

Lots of audio files: Might suggest new jobs/freemode events. Some mention "dog" and "creature", this could suggest animals are coming to Online.

Weapons: Seems to be a few new weapons including a new gun (submachine gun?), a flashlight and there were a few other but no pictures.

The whole update seems to be called "The Halloween Surprise" according to the files uploaded by the people in that thread. So it might have just been released with no announcement on halloween. That might change now, however.

New T shirt emblems: Basically just halloween themed logos and phrases roughly about a dozen of them

I'm on pc and those load times are horrible =(
Those online load times are crazy, it's mind blowing how bad it is for my group.
Only Evolve is worse
but it's probably because we couldn't find a monster to play against us four
