GTA Online PS4/XB1 |OT| Just ignore the bodies (and look forward to heists)

Done. Overlooking the hills. Moved out of that cesspool that's the downtown area.
view is not bad, you got downtown skyscrapers, vinewood sign, the observatory, even the ferris wheel at the pier looks great at night.
Haha yeah, totally not facing either direction. Just another building and the hills. -_-

The Dynasty realty site implied that the direction I would be facing is downtown, but that wasn't the case when I spawned in.

Ah well. I live at Nakatomi now. YAY! Yippee ki yay, motherfuckers!
apt 101, my man, top floor!

I got the game again on ps4 after not playing it for a long time with 360 and I got reminded how infuriating it is playing missions with randomers on this game. I'd love like to play with people who are at least semi competent so add me on leftbackno3 if you want someone to do heists/ ceo stuff/whatever else with

Ok I'm curious, why?

Lol damn, for some reason I was envisioning the 30th floor being midway up the building (don't ask me why, I didn't think about it much) and was curious why you would want to blow up the middle :p

Carry on.

The snow sucks. The novelty of it wears off fast and the affect it has on most driving-based modes and missions ends up ruining many of them. I wish you could opt to turn it off in private lobbies.

I love the in game snow and how it effects things, honestly the amount of time it's here during the amount of time it's not makes me roll my eyes whenever someone complains about it (my apologies Alb, not trying to be dickish or direct that at you, I spend too much time on the GTA forums and people get real obnoxious there).

I understand not being into it but it's only every here for a very short period of time, let the rest of us enjoy it :p

I like the snow too, it can make sliding around corners fun. I like people who probably aren't great drivers in the game to begin with being total disasters with it. It's kind of dumb they turned it off for just a couple days just to turn it back on. Also, I'm still convinced Rockstar messed with the traffic AI to make it an even bigger pain the ass in the last update, I don't remember cars going into intersections and stopping conveniently right in your path like they do now.

Have I mentioned how great the Ruiner 2000 from the VIP mission is as a "fuck you" to Hydra griefers? I frustrated the shit out of someone who was flying around killing people the other day with it, after the first time I shot them down they got a new Hydra and came after me only to get shot down again and this repeated itself three or four more times before the mission timer ran out. I'd throw tanks in there too but those are generally easy enough to avoid and take out and not that common these days but that goes for them too. On the flip side the same can be said about people who might abuse the mission R2K but it's easy enough to stop since the windows aren't bullet proof.

That feel when you are good at driving in vidya games and very quickly adapt to everything.

I love snow and what it means for handling - increased braking distances and less grip. I only needed a minute or two to understand how cars behave and then started to enjoy it massively sliding through corners :)

I was going to say that it's a shame there are no vehicles on sale, but they literally say "SALES ON VEHICLES" in the press release, even though none are currently on sale. I'm assuming they'll have a few forthcoming where the sale duration is very limited.

No worries and ya'll can still enjoy it while I hate it :D

I think my issue with this snow is that I don't have a lot of time to play the game and usually have a time to play around the holidays because of vacation/time-off, and so it gets to be a drag to primarily play the game in the snow.

I wouldn't mind if the snow had some more variation too like the rest of the weather in the game. There seems to only be a couple of "modes" of snow, where as with rain storms/thunder storms in the game, there's a ton of variety. It also seems to affect the entire state mostly the same, where I think I'd like it if the snow affected different areas differently, like the rest of the weather does.

Do I have the figures wrong, or is selling your import/export cars in collections a complete waste of time? It seems like although you get the collection bonus on each car, you don't get the option to sell to a showroom or specialist dealer, so you're working off the lowest possible commission to begin with... something that means that even with collection bonus, you might still come out worse than if you'd just sold all of the cars to a specialist dealer.

For example, AFAICS, if you're selling the "Uninsurable Collector: Jay Norris" collection as a collection, I believe you get a total delivery commission right now (with the 25% bonus) of $281,250 (all profit). I can't check because I don't have two other associates at the moment, but I believe that's right: is anyone able to confirm?

If you just sell those three cars not as a collection, you'd get a total profit of $300,000 (i.e. you'd get $375,000 back, but would've invested $75,000) if you sold to a specialist dealer. So you're actually $18,750 worse off by selling them as a collection. WTF?

EDIT: I was completely wrong. The commission for the collection was $300,000, and each person who delivers a car gets the collection bonus (so the CEO gets $300,000 + the collection bonus). So there is a benefit to delivering collections, provided they're top range cars. If there are non-top range cars in the collection, you might still be better off delivering a bunch of non-collection top range cars though.

^ also to source top line cars only: load your warehouse with 1 each of the of standard and mid class cars. you should end up with a total of 20 (10 from each class), sell off any duplicates. from then on you only source the remaining 12 top line cars.

I'm thinking that's what I'll do. The collections make most sense if you're selling cars with friends, since then your associates actually make some decent cash, but I tend to mostly sell solo anyway.

Would anyone still actively playing be willing to help me and a friend do some heists?

I just started them, but using matchmaking has been less than optimal...

My PSN is ValeYard13.

Just waited 20 minutes to get people to join a heist and then as soon as it's about to start someone leaves and then we go back to GTA online. Man why don't people want to do heists?

Yeah, doing the heists was the most tedious thing I did in the game and I even had a buddy who was with me all the time. They were pretty nice but fuck the "4 people or bust" requirement, why not offer the option to do it with AI characters <_<

Is anyone here able to recommend the motorcycle club businesses? I have a bunch of money saved up and already have all of the import/export stuff covered (vehicle warehouse, special vehicles, office garage, etc.), so was thinking about maybe investing in a cocaine business.

Is that stuff worthwhile, or is it tedious?

IMO if you are playing with other people, the MC businesses are a lot more fun than the CEO stuff. The pay isn't quite as good, but the fun factor more than makes up for it. If you're playing solo, MC stuff is more of a chore than crates and the pay isn't as good.

Finally did the prison heist with Valeyard. It was a really rewarding experience. I was the prisoner so not being with 2 other members was a bit worrying. We fucked it a couple of times but managed it. Maaaaan parachuting to the beach and then into the chopper was class. I really want to do another one but got stuck in the bank heist as myself and 3 others kept dying. Gotta get gud I guess?

Very much this. The CEO stuff will keep you going and pays more if you get into a good flow: Steal vehicle > Headhunter VIP Work > Sell > Repeat.

What I've found recently is that its ok to have a MC business as a side venture. The coke business pays out the most I think. Get all your supplies and then leave it to tick and turn into sellable product (the more product bars you have the more people you would need to move it). Whilst its ticking away, you can leave your MC business and carry on with your CEO work to make the bulk of your money then when your product is ready to sell, it's an extra $100-$200k in the bank.

Is there a frequently updated list of fastest cars by class. I know Broughy makes the videos but is there a good list somewhere?

I really appreciate that feedback guys. I've done the crate stuff to death; I've gotten incredibly efficient at it, but whereas it was fun at first because using the Buzzard so heavily was still a novelty, now it's become tedious. I happily moved into the import/export stuff with my Cargobob, and I'm still enjoying that.

I had $5 million and was debating whether I should buy a bunch more vehicles or try the MC businesses. I decided that, just to give my friends and I some more stuff to check out/mess around with, I'd buy a cocaine business and upgrade it (~$3.4 million).

So far the returns aren't fantastic (as expected), and the hands on time in terms of sourcing supplies is a lot more frequent than I was expecting (they seem to burn through supplies nearly as fast as I source them!), which means the 'set and forget' aspect I was hoping for is not really true...but the missions around it have been a lot of fun, so it was definitely worth it from that perspective :)

As a solo-only player is it worth it to buy the Buzzard for CEO missions? 1.75 mil is a lot of money for something I don't really want per se.

Yes. The buzzard is just plain worth it. Not my favorite vehicle as in I like to fly it but as a vehicle very useful to have that makes making money easy, definitely worth the money.
