The story is told in game... That being said, the intro still tells more story though then WOW's does.

WoW doesn't really have a story period. Just a bunch of little bits of lore through quests, which aren't even often very interesting. I was a little dissapointed with WoW on that front, but oh well, honor system soon, fuck story.
