Netflix movies don't tend to be great, this looks to buck that trend.
Two Pinocchio films in the same year? lol ok.
It happens often.
Deep Impact and Armageddon (1998)
Red Planet and Mission to Mars (1998)
Batman VS Superman and Civil War (2016)
Friends with Benefits and No Strings Attached (2011)
Volcano and Dante's Peak (1997)
I feel like people in Hollywood must shop the same script to these studios or some shit.
I want him to sharpen that nose to a fine point and jab some motherfuckers to death through the eyes. Where is the gritty pinnocho for jaded violence loving men????

The two Mowgli/Jungle Book adaptations were pretty close together. Always interesting to see a Disney version and one based more on the source material.I mean yeah these are all similar movies, but this is actually the same fairy tale here...
Don’t forget mogli and jungle book. I think that was the same year…It happens often.

No kidding. What was so damned expensive about that script? Literally filming in Antartica? Growing a live Shoggoth? Some sort of incredibly prolonged CGI past earth sequence? I feel like you could base it partly on the "Ten Little Indians" idea of crew slowly disappearing with internal suspicion and kinda bookend it with the Lovecraft stuff. 2 hours of hallucinations of the dim past or an overly prolonged shoggoth chase sequence isn't how I would do it. A more contentious excavation party or even rival parties attacking each other all while shadowy shoggoths eat them could fill some run time until we get to the grand reveal and final "descent into madness" ending leading to a found footage ending or whatever.Where is "At the Mountains of Madness" Guillermo?
Yep it sure does. Just find this one funny but I guess it’s similar to the Jungle Book one, I had totally forgotten about that.It happens often.

But no one can beat the Pinocchio by Comencini.

No please no.What about the Roberto Benigni Pinocchio?
It honestly doesn't feel like a Del Toro film at all.
His last 2 movies were horrible, so I agree with this statement for nowI find Guillermo Del Toro to be one of the most overrated directors out there.
