GUILTY GEAR DS/PSP FIRST SCREENS

what the funk?

Yes, put up the massively blown-up GS pic as proof that the DS version is ugly. GOOD CALL YOUR EYES.

They both look really good, though. I don't know what to expect from the PSP version, though. Any fighting game that has gone side-scrolling always ends up messy.

The DS version looks about what I expected it to be; the GBA version with a bit more detail. Looks like it could be fun as long as the control scheme isn't like Guilty Gear Isuka's. If it is, forget about it. :/

The PSP version is somewhat disappointing. Maybe it's just the screenshots, but I expected the sprites to look exactly the same as the console versions. I'd like to see some pics from the regular vs. mode too.

DS version doesn't have the Detail of the PSP version as a result of it simply having a lower resolution, but overall it looks very comparable to the PSP version. Now if the game actually plays well I could see the DS being a better game with some interesting stuff.

The DS version has 4 player matches, cool! What about the PSP version?

I might end up buying the DS version aswell as the PSP version.

Sure the PSP is a side-scrolling beat-em-up? It looks like it at first, but a bunch of those pics share the same exact background with just different characters, making it look like it's a set screen (doesn't scroll).

Or maybe I'm totally wrong. Too bad there aren't any details released yet.

are you serious? psp version looks miles better than the ds one

I didn't say that DS version looks better than the PSP version. I said that I'm disappointed with the screens I'm seeing for the PSP version; I expect it to look much better in motion, however.

Both games just seem to be spin-offs from the console version of Guilty Gear Isuka. The DS version is the main 4P mode (which was really brought down hard to due the line-swtiching and the stupid turn around button), but instead of taking place on two planes, it's all on one plane and uses both screens for large vertical stages. I like the idea of this a lot and hopefully it will NOT have the turn around button. :)

GG Isuka also has a side-scrolling beat-em-up mode, which the PSP version appears to be based on as well. I'm sure that the PSP version will also have a normal 1-on-1 mode based on GGXX #Reload.

I played GGDS at the show today. It's REALLY incomplete right now. The level does scroll horizontally, so it's not constrained to just that screen. A lot of the animations were iffy, but it's coming along. Fall 2005 just like 75% of the stuff at Majesco's booth.

Is the DS version online?
Nearly all of Majesco's games were DS titles and most of them were 20-30% done with a release in the fall. If Mario Kart and Animal Crossing prove lucrative for online, I'm sure it'll be a growing trend, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Do you mean Judgement? Because DS is the 4 player fighting one with two levels of screens.
