A New Guilty Gear Game Has Been Canceled
Insider Gaming's Mike Straw has learned that a new Guilty Gear game has been canceled at developer ARC System Works.

A new Guilty Gear game that had been in development has recently been canceled at developer ARC System Works.
Sources say that the game's cancellation took place within the last couple of weeks. As far as a reasoning behind it, nothing was specifically mentioned by those who spoke under the condition of anonymity.
Insider Gaming did reach out to ARC System Works for comment, but had not heard back as of publishing.
Guilty Gear is a fighting series that first debuted in 1998 for the original PlayStation. Since then, there have been seven main line games along with six spin-off titles. The last Guilty Gear game, Guilty Gear Strive, was first released in 2021. It launched on Nintendo Switch in January 2025.
The in-development game had yet to be officially announced. However, when asked what this meant for the future of the series, one source said it was "back to the drawing board", but that, based on what they knew, it wasn't finished.
