Guitar Hero Live has solidified my opinion that metalcore sucks.
The entry tracks for Face Melting Metal are tedious as fuck.

are there only 2 venues or whatever in the single player? seemed really short.
I mean technically there are 7 venues.
Does anyone wish that they add DLC Live events? I kinda want them to join up with actual rockstars and you might be able to play a few songs from their setlist with all of the fanciness and such of the Live portion, though I'd be also content if they didn't. I just really want more Live events, even though I love GH: TV.
I'm not really sure if it's an official thing or whatever, but the Twitter account of Yearbook Ghosts, one of the fictional bands, tweeted that they were recording stuff with FSG. I wouldn't be surprised if they did "proper" DLC for the Live portion. It wouldn't be hard either, they could just release, say, a pack for one of the bands in the game and add a new show.
FUUUUCK I would be all over that! I can get the game + guitar for 65 euro new. Worth it for that price?

So I just got this today and was assembling the guitar, and the whammy bar seems loose. Whatever position I move it to it just falls down and points towards the ground. I've tried twisting it in both directions to see if it'd tighten, but it doesn't.
Is this just how it was designed or is the guitar defective? I suppose it could be by design as in a higher position it could get in the way of the strum bar.
I've seen a couple of posts in this thread with the same issue, so not sure if it's just an unlucky fault or that's how the whammy bar is on all of the controllers.
Are the Avenged Sevenfold songs gone or can only the pre order people play them still?
Seems like yours is defective. My whammy bar can be moved but it holds itself in whatever direction I put it in, even straight up. Just got the game this last week.
Thanks, a bit disappointing but since it doesn't do much, and the bar still works it's just loose, I'll probably just keep hold of it unless Tesco can do a straight swap in store (doubtful since it was an online Direct order). As for the whammy bar, mine stays where I put it, but it's completely pointless since it does basically nothing at all. I wish they hadn't bothered putting in on the guitar and had spent a few more bucks on "build quality" instead.
Any punk in the game at all yet?
Well, some had problems with the guitar, others none. Like with this kind of games on general, is a "ymmv" (your mileage may vary) kind of thing.I asked this over on the Guitar Hero subreddit, but it doesn't seem to be too active, so hopefully you guys can help me a bit more.
I'm super close to taking the plunge on this game with Best Buy having it on sale plus the GCU discount making it about $50ish. The only thing holding me back is all the negative comments I've been hearing about the build quality on the new guitar, like the double strumming. On top of that, on all the demo units I've tried the alt-strumming feels like shit. It doesn't feel smooth like with the previous guitars, almost as if something wasn't properly lubricated. I like the new button layout, but the rest of the guitar just feels super cheap, especially compared to the new RB4 guitar. Can anyone confirm these issues or put my fears to rest? I really just want this as a compliment to RB4, but not if it's just going to break on me easily.
Plug the mic, make sure it's on (if there's an on/off switch like mine).Sorry if this has been answered already, but anyone knows how to enable the mic for Live/TV play? Can't seem to figure it out.
Thanks. I'll stew it over while I wait to get out of work and maybe pick it up later tonight.Well, some had problems with the guitar, others none. Like with this kind of games on general, is a "ymmv" (your mileage may vary) kind of thing.
A common thing os that the guitar is quite ...finicky aroud other bluetooth devices. For example, when my friend came over I played more than fine (like normal), but in his case, down-strum never worked. Why? Because he had a smart watch. Others has reported problems with bluetooth devices, so a common advise is to turn off any device that uses bluetooth on the same area.
Now, that won't solve the issue with the noise (or apparent lack of lubrication). On mine I have no problem with it, but some describe it as really loud and annoying, so it varies too.
If anything, get it and try it. Then return it as faulty if you're not pleased with how it works and sounds.
So, I hate how loud the clicking is on the guitar, both for the buttons and strum bar Means I have to shoot the volume really high on the TV to hear anything and the clicking just gets distracting and annoying.

Heads up: in GHTV that setting is under the start menu, which you get to by pressing one of the two little round buttons next to the Hero Bar.Plug the mic, make sure it's on (if there's an on/off switch like mine).
Go to options and toggle Vocals on. On Live it only works in Quickplay, TV works for every song.
Yep, the game itself is great but the clicking on the guitar makes playing at night a bit awkward.
Some new premium stuff added again
Rock the Ages: The 90s
The Offspring Pretty Fly for a White Guy
Marcy Playground Sex and Candy

90s setlist is solid. Other one is decent too, nice seeing Nothing But Thieves and Pulled Apart by Horses.
I've honestly never heard of any of the 2015 tracks, but I dig the 90s one.
So far no GG Allin or Crass tracks
Couple of Sum 41 songs yeah.
This is not
Anyone know if this is a problem?
This is just on regular since I'm starting
But like sometimes the buttons don't register
I thought it was the controller dying so i switched the batteries out
But i don't know something feels off
If one note fails it wont recover til 3 or 4 later
Maybe its just me
GHTV is the best thing to happen to a rhythm game it's gotten me to take a break from Fallout 4!
So in one week I managed to get out of regular difficulty and into advanced and have been feeling comfortable. I figured that you know you can bump up in difficulty when you can actually 95%+ some of the hard metal songs on that given difficulty. Metal songs in advanced(especially the hammering notes) are completely destroying me however. It is so hard to find the rhythm of the strums and the finger dexterity in my left hand just isn't there yet.
Anyone have any tips on any breakthroughs they made in this regard other than just bearing down and practicing that specific song? This is my first Guitar Hero game and am loving it thus far. Everyday play it for at least an hour.
Also, the Guitar is a great innovation as well in my opinion.100% agree, what a huge leap forward for the genre.
