The face seems to be based on Unicorn, that why in that pic it has eyes and a V-fin instead of the horn and visor seen in the anime.

Also just remembered, Season 2 of the GBF series was announced at the Shizuoka Hobby show last year. The Shizuoka Hobby show is coming up again next month on May 14th so we may hear something then.
