I'm tempted to get the PSN version of Hakuoki, but I really want the special edition...
Yet I also want to play it right now. @_@

We're currently communicating with Sony to get the VITA PSN version ready for release as soon as possibleMaybe as early as the end of the month
But no concrete date for the VITA PSN version as of yet >.<
I'm hoping this is just Vita launch awkwardness and that by the time Gungnir and Growlanser come along it's a non-issue. If somehow it IS though, man, guess I may stick with the physical versions anyway. Not that this is your fault, but... this shouldn't even exist as a situation.
Has anybody tried to download this onto their PS3 and transferred it onto their Vita yet?
Would like some confirmation if it works or not but I can't find it anywhere
Awesome... I was going to order the LE from Amazon and it's sold out. :| Is the LE a limited run or will Amazon get more?

Edit: Lol, didn't read rest of the thread.
@Akselziys
Looking forward to being able to play this on my Vita.
What is this, the second or third one?
I'd take cute men Musou. That's the dynasty warriors style Hakuoki game that's coming out on PSP~
Still nothing locally...
I want to date Samurais.
Feb 23rd is reflected in the EB system and on the site, so...Gunloc said:Still nothing locally...

............
you sure? (looking at avatar)
I've already requested that Aksys bring the beef in the next dating VN/dating sim, but variety is the spice of life, so I'll give the Shinsengumi a while. (Though, why no Shinpachi?!?)
I'd be first in line for an SC dating sim though. XD

I want to make a lumberjack dating sim, but so far I'm not getting a lot of support.
I'm a little bummed that some of the attractive older men are not dateable. What's up with that?
Still no sign of this in Canada.
And Amazon.ca status just went to "We have no idea if we're ever going to get this and you should probably cancel... but uh... we'll keep trying!".
Fun.
EB/GS has it listed for Feb 23. Probably got delayed here because of bilingual packaging requirements.
Amazon's listing is more than likely the same. I got my copy of Bit.TripComplete shipped from them around the same time people waiting for it from EB got it.I shake my fist angrily at those Quebecois!
I guess I'll switch my order to EB. Feb 23 listing is way better than the no-listing at Amazon.
So... even though I did a project on this packaging law, but I'm not really sure how it works still (I had to look at it from a linguistic pov, not a legal/requirement pov). I know that in order to be sold in Québec, they need to have bilingual packaging and are either not sold or are delayed there.Kazerei said:EB/GS has it listed for Feb 23. There've been several Aksys-published games that have gotten a delay, like Bit.Trip Complete and Fate/EXTRA, but neither got bilingual packaging. Neither game had French instructions either (and I'd know because I have a big box filled with French instruction booklets that I should have pitched but I decided to save for some reason).Language of software
All the rules regarding labelling, commercial documentation and commercial signs also apply to software products.
As for the language of the software products themselves, there is a specific rule :
Software products, including gameware, should be offered and made readily available in French in Québec unless a French version of the product does not exist on the market anywhere.
When the software does exist in a French version, the English version can only be offered if the French version is also available under equal conditions.
When a French version does not exist anywhere, the English version can be offered as long as it is in compliance with the requirements in labelling, commercial documentation and commercial signs.
Oh, it's a distribution thing? I understand that. I have quite a bit of things published by Aksys that I've received domestically (ex: I haven't imported from the States) which lack bilingual packaging, so I don't think they get delayed for that. There will be no bilingual packaging for Hakuoki, no Aksys game ever really has it. I figure they are coming from the US via a different distributor and that's why they are always a week late here in Canada.

Yeah, it seems Hakuoki is available locally in Canada now.
My local independent store actually has copies in stock but my order from Amazon is preparing to ship so I can't cancel it now. (Why it hasn't shipped already despite them having it in stock and me pre-ordering it is a bit odd.)
It's so close, but I still have to wait. :/
