there's an excellent article at N-Sider about hal labs, developer of kirby and smash bros. for those interested it's a great read.

nintendo president satoru iwata began at hal labs.

Wow, they're still making episodes of the Kirby TV series? I would have thought it would have died off after 25 or 52 episodes. Hell, the Sonic X TV series apparently did pretty badly in Japan, and only got it's additional 26 episodes after ep. 52 because it was funded to be made for American Audiences [Sort of like Big O II was]. I wouldn't have thought Kirby did too well in America either.

I'm surprised on HAL's lack of input on the DS. Kirby is a good game, but IMO felt like they could do a lot more with it. Only 3 kinds of Boss Battles [which wern't all that good, frankly], and lack of abilities made me feel that they were restricting themselves. I wish they'd somehow bring back the double-up abilities of the Kirby 64 game, the "helper" abilities from Superstar never did anything for me.

An interesting read. It's always nice to read about the ups and downs of famous developers. It's like a saga in itself:)
