On Attack of the Show!, and they say it's an exclusive.

4pm PST/7pm EST if anyone else has G4. Who knows how much they'll show, but they were hyping an exclusive first look at it.

Im excited, I guess. Depending on what they show. I FINALLY got H-L 2 working on my PC a few days ago (STUPID STEAM #^$#*@) and its just as awesome as everyone has said, which surprises me because I HATED the first game. The part where you are riding the mudskipper along the canals and water ways and the helicopter is chasing you and dropping bombs is easily the most exciting and fun sequence in any game I can remember.

i think kevin fucked up with that. they were only supposed to be showing the new tech demo level for the HDR lighting and a few other things they are adding to the Source engine. But hell if its a full expansion (which seems like it would be far too soon) then i'd be all for it. But i don't think so.

Yeah it's some additions to the engine...and I hope to see a few things.

I think it's just "The Lost Coast" HDR levels. I hope there's something about an expansion @ E3 though.

They just showed the new technology and one new level. It looks nice, but you'll need a hand of god machine to even run it.

Well...I guess pics and clips will be released tomorow, the major HL sites don't have anything on it yet. Thanks for the info Manabyte. Unlike the previous HL engine, which aged dramatically over time, this one can be upgraded to take advantage of new hardware...I think it's great.

Speaking of the engine, according to Carmack's blog there is actually still bits of Quake 1 code in the Source Engine.

Exactly, there is no way in hell I could even think of playing that on my PC. Looked great though.

Yeah, I just got HL2 last week and beat it already. I think it's only 75% as long as the first game. I'm really hurting right now, because after playing nothing but HL2 at near-max settings, when I try to play other games, they look really crappy in comparison of detail. :lol
