Last night I had a dream.
I was standing at the entrance of Nova Prospekt, cool wind gusting.
At my feet, I saw the gravity gun, but then, without warning, it suddenly morphed into the portal gun.
In the distance I heard Dr. Breen and GLaDOS arguing, saying something about unintended ramifications.
Then I felt a hand on my shoulder.
It was Barney.
But it wasn't really him.

What does it all mean?

I do believe Valve is going to announce something else new very soon, there's enough buzz, rumor, and trustworthy people saying such that it's believable. It just might NOT be Half Life 3. It could be something else. It might be Portal 3, or even Left 4 Dead 3.


I do think by this point if the announcement is NOT HL3 the internet is going to explode in anger and frustration. 😂

The unfortunate thing is that their site has been notorious for listing things that don't even exist or have a reliable release date. 👀

But don't let that fool you, something will happen in due time, I just don't know when. I'm trying to be patient and hyped at the same time, it's a confusing feeling, lmao.

I think there's too much smoke for there not to be a fire at this point. But, that doesn't mean I think it'll be announced before the end of the year. Could be next November for all I know. Who the fuck knows anymore?
 
I tell myself there's no way they'd end Alyx the way they did and just ditch the series completely but then again I think about how they ended Episode 2 and ditched us for 13 years so it's not totally out of the realm of the possible that they could conceivably walk away from the series again.

Ya know writing that out now, it's extremely disturbing to me to think what felt like an eternity following Ep.2's release and abandonment by Valve is now only twice the time since Alyx's release. Fuck man time is flying by and I do not like it. Wish I could go back even to that 2010 era when gaming and conventions were still dominated by the dorky and genuine, even the innocent. What horrible times we've fallen upon.
 
Wouldn't it be awesome if they remastered HL2 and its two episodes to get people ready for 3? I mean a remaster of the first game ideally too, but that should probably be a remake at this point.

I can't believe it but I'm actually suffering from anticipation... and I'm not even an OG fan.
Only quite recently I played through Blue Shift, Opposing Force and Episode 2. Finished Alyx shortly afterwards. Even HL1 still holds incredibly well to this day.
Now I just want to know how it all ends for Gordon and co.
Ffs just announce it already Gaben...
