I searched for threads about Halloween costumes and couldn't find the thread about OT reservations so believe me I hope I'm not doing anything wrong.

Anyways, I was hoping we could maybe get a thread going where we talk about this years upcoming Halloween costumes and costume ideas! It doesn't matter if you plan on building from scratch or buying a premade costume, everyone is welcome! Maybe it can be a useful thread for those wanting some hints of what to be or what they can do. It'll all lead to Halloween when we get to see the final designs!

I'll start. This Halloween I am going as Princess Mononoke. My girlfriend just finished up the mask last night and it's looking awesome!

It's pretty lame, but I agreed to be Matthew Patel in a couple's costume thing with my counterpart going as Ramona, of course. Found this site that's pretty rad for costume stuff

I'll be going as pinhead this year.

I think it will be fun to see the process leading up to. We can see and hear ideas and then watch them shine on Halloween.

I'm thinking of going as Deathstroke this year and have been eyeing up some body armour to work on.

Last year I went as Joker from "Death Of The Family" and it went down a treat. Need to top it this year.

What's wrong with buying a costume?

Nothing at all. It's just that there are also a lot of people who make their costumes themselves so it would be nice to have a place where they can discuss idea and progress. Even if you plan on buying a pre-made costume you can still come here for advice and suggestions.

I'm going as the Roman Emporer Brutus, with an undead twist. I'm still not sure whether to go the easy route and be a vampire (fangs, makeup and done) or go all undead-like and buy this mask:

The green bits are translucent and light up with LED lights.

Not the prettiest thing, but I've always been pretty awful at making stuff with my hands so it'll do. Had some nice instructions for this one, if I'd known what I wanted to go as earlier I could've made it a bit better. I still need to stain the mask (along with my clothes) with some ash and blood.
