yup. i think a lot of cool gameplay scenarios could come from that. it would also be usefull for rushing camped in players hording powerweapons. imagine the top level of ivory tower being held by the rockets and sword. now imagine charging at them with eveyone having no shields. all of a sudden, rockets and sword probably arent the best weapon to be holding

With the way the icon looks I can see the power drainer being a EMP shield drainer.
I'd say it was pretty obvious that it's composite video due to the multi-coloured artefacting around so many things, which is something you only get with composite video. A good example is the numbers going on in the lower-right at the very start of the video - with component, it would only be white, but it isn't.JB1981 said:

Halo is one of those games where any "negative" comments are instantly labeled as troll comments. Part 1 is my favorite game but I can easily criticize a game even though I like it, no game is above that. People get their master Chief panties in big wads over at TXB when anything bad is said about Halo.

For someone who has played as much Halo 2 as you have, I'd expect you to realize how ridiculous the "Halo 2 HD" comments (and the like) are.
You can be as disappointed in the visuals as you want. I couldn't care less. But you don't need to reiterate it over and over. One post is enough.

All I really care about is that they don't start you off with shitty weapons at the start. Please let the starting weapons be a good pistol and assault rifle. A GOOD PISTOL.

On the opposite side of the coin..would one tell someone to stop with praise of halo? I always see that when it's negative or non-cheerleading comments.."Enough already, we get it etc.." but the opposite doesn't seem true. And I can't quite understand why people get so mad over videogames anyway, or peoples opinions on them.

I don't see the problem with saying you're not blown away by the footage, though I am curious about the public beta, will it be 'better' then this or is this what we should expect?
I guess my big problem now is that i've always told people halo 3 will blow everything away, now i'm a tad concerned.. beta can't get here soon enough.

My biggest complaint with Halo 2 mp was the non-ability to create a public non-ranked game where anyone could join and I could setup the game to my liking, that was a major bummer for me. I don't like the friend system because me and all my friends are not all 14 and sit around playing games all day. we have families etc so it's hard to all be online together.

how big of an idiot are you? one of the biggest annoyances in games like lost planet was making it harder to notice who the enemy is, halo is a fast game, it's good to know who the enemy is within a split second.
