Halo 3 Beta Video

the map definately looks like a Zanzibar remake to me. In the matchmaking screen the map name was "Last Resort"

Exactly what I was thinking. They went through all the trouble to black out the watermarked data but not the in-game tags and nicknames. You're probably right about the data as well.

I like how the guy tried to press X to activate the console but accidentaly deployed a bubble shield! Guess it was his first time playing the beta or something :lol
 
Does Bungie even give a crap? They knew this would happen once the they'd open it up to MS employees. They probably have a bet going.
MS employees are great though!
 
Somebody was asking in the vidoc thread if a shield would contain a grenade deployed inside, looks like the answer is yes.
 
i wish we saw some of the outdoor stuff with vegetation :(

I don´t like the position of the assault rifle, it looks kinda squished.
 
I thought it looked terrifically dull and predictable.... until the shield effect. That was pretty cool.
 
Graphics are orders of magnitude different from the alpha.

:lol at the music...watching Kill Bill won't be the same now. :P
 
I think it looks pretty nice, I like it. Can't wait to get a proper trailer or some footage from someone who's actually playing the game properly.

The new shield thing looks cool, I like that.

Why are people complaining about the content? Judging by the music, its obvious its some MS employee lol'ing at Microsoft leak security.

Dull and predictable? It's one guy walking around the interior of a building, doing nothing but wandering around.

I'd imagine that he did that to avoid showing other people's tags - too bad he f'ed up atleast twice - ouch...

To tell you the truth, I saw this about 15 minutes ago, but I didn't want to be the one to post the thread... :lol

This is definitely the Zanzibar remake that Mr Vociferous & crew (kudos, good eyes) pointed out, as you even see the exact same angle in the vid...

I really, REALLY love how the Bubble Shield is pretty much how it looks in the CGI trailer now - it fits a whole lot better in the Halo world now too... and I gotta say that the map looks HUGE - wow... and we haven't even seen the area where the wheel is, or the beachside... the original Zanzibar looks claustrophobic in comparison to this one (now called Last Resort as we can see)...

So much cool tidbits in that vid (even in this extremely-crappy quality vid, people criticising graphics based on this deserve to be hammered in the nuts, seriously) - I feel bad for Bungie having this leaked, but I feel so guilty because every single day, I make the rounds hoping for some kind of new media - sigh...

It really looks kickass!

P.S.: That music is sooooooooo damn annoyiing... :(

Well it's low quality stuff so we can't really judge the gfx. But the interface has changed and the bubble shield grenade is fun.

No, that song is actually kind of okay. This is some craptastic remix of a song from "Kill Bill."

And this video is hot. I'm a-stoked for the beta.
 
There's supposedly a better quality 7 minute version of this video floating around somewhere....
