Awhh hell nah. I dont wanna see that. I would like to see them mix it up a bit but that sounds wack.
Spartan Ops is doing a good job of this. Seeing more than 2 Hunters was dope as fuck. Always wanted to fight a couple Hunters, that part is no joke on Legendary. Maybe we even get Brutes back next game, write some crazy shit to make it canon or whatever so the lore geeks dont flip the fuck out though.
Having Brutes and Elites in the same squads would be cool. But making them like H2 Brutes and have them charging you like crazy and still having them Elites doing they Elite thing.
Also I seen alot of Elites taking cover when i popped their shields on Legendary. The AI was pretty good in campaign.

Just throwing out random ideas, this "rogue" group shouldn't play by traditional rules or hierarchy, IMO.
Why not?
Why would they abolish cultivated and largely successful combat roles for inefficient experimental ones instead? It's not like they can risk that stuff logistically.

I think its double shot and double melee button glitches aka BXR and BXB.
Because it's boring and canon can eat dicks when it comes to gameplay unless the canon actually improves it, in this case currently, it does not. Pardon the French.
I think the only other MP games I've played on Live are Gears of War (the first one), and that was just a few games. Some co-op Crackdown, and....dunno. A few XBLA games? That's about it. I've never been a big multiplayer person, but to the extent that I am, it's been for Halo.

I think there's bigger issues with the AI than the combat roles. The combat roles are crazy varied as is, Elites that use every weapon, same with Grunts. I don't understand how a Sword Jackal or a Sniper Grunt would improve gameplay. Not threatening if you can one shot them and Prometheans when they do the melee dash serve pretty much the same purpose.
If they're going to improve gameplay through combat roles, the Prometheans are where the effort should go, because I don't see the Rogue Covenant sticking around any longer either.

I get that, and like i said i wouldnt mind seeing them mix it up. We need something new, shooting grunts in the head for 10 years is getting old.
Same with shooting jackals hands to get them to move they shield etc.
I liked the Prometheans, but i think they played it a little safe. I see people saying we gonna be fighting the Precursors (Dont know who these are) next game, be fun to see them go crazy with it.
The chances of this happening are 0.000001%.

Anyone else getting a weird bug/glitch where your Spartan's pose will change ever so slightly in the lobby? It's not a stance change; instead, just my Spartan's head position moves. Here's an example. I'm using the default stance, which looks like this:
However, every once in awhile my guy will look like this:
Notice the subtle head change. Any reason for this difference? If I change the stance it always reverts back to normal. I actually like the alternate version more.

I wish there were more than 8 stances. :/ It seems like it'd be pretty easy to make more, and it'd add a nice bit of variety.

There's no chance of it happening.
They're pretty much all extinct. They created the Flood as a challenge to see which race, Forerunnners or Humans, could solve the Flood problem to take up their mantle and succeed them as the dominant race in the galaxy. I think there may be some still alive, but not in the Milky Way at least
Someone who's actually read the books will correct me on that, but that's the gist of it.
They made the Forerunners, Humans and Flood. They had plans to get rid of the Forerunner (for not being worthy to uphold the mantle) but before they could the Forerunner somehow attacked first and drove the them out of the galaxy (where they made the Flood as the ultimate solution to the mantle... or something like that. Have to read Primordium again I think)
Speaking of gamertags.
I still remember all those people trying to exploit that UI glitch in Halo 3. The one where people would set their name to something like Shishka wmmmmmmm or something and the game would only display "Shishka" on the scoreboard.

The Flood was a solution to the mantle after they had failed to get rid of the Forerunner. It is, after all, exactly what the mantle stands for.

I'd start off with Cryptum then Primordium and then the sequel which comes out in March or something.
That is assuming you don't care so much about the Covenant - Human war that the main trilogy was centred around.

I have to say, after so many games of CTF... I think I like the changes. Should we be able to drop the flag? Absolutely. But never in a Halo game with randoms have I ever received the amount of teamwork that I am in Halo 4. It's like the moment you grab the flag you've got 4 other people escorting you around the map. In 3 and Reach most times in games with randoms you'd simply have to go it alone.

_/¯Precursors are the people who created the Forerunners, but the Forerunners fought back after it looked like the Precursors might destroy them. If you've ever played StarCraft, Precursors are the Xel'Naga, Forerunners are the Protoss, and the Flood appear to be the Zerg.
Don't appear to be many precursors left, though, and their description in the books means that they'd be bosses if they ever appeared at all, likely.

My only complaint with JiP is when matches start uneven. It should always be equal when a match starts.
