Juices greenlights changes and Karl maintains classic parity with my sandbox. Tashi and Bravo oversee playlist concerns, FyreWulff makes map changes and everyone's pitching in ideas for a base ~20 maps that will eventually be condensed into 10 launch maps. Over and Devo are in charge of UI. I consistently load the test screening air filters with cannabis and LSD to ensure focus groups say yes to all our decisions. Several prestigious members of Microsoft are on board but request 20% of the profits go to buying pizza and hot pockets.

Are you talking about mine or 343's? Excluding loadouts mine has a whopping 14 weapons, with the only overlaps being the Sniper and Beam Rifle.

Not spilling all the details just yet but this is the final weapon listing for my sandbox project, since everyone's so interested. I have a few other ideas for weapons but due to their ridiculousness they're staying campaign-exclusive. Bare minimum I'm putting successors or "ancestors" in parenthesis because not all weapons may be immediately recognizable by name.

Now, I know it's always cool to shit on MS/XBL/XBL subscribers here on GAF, but I'd be shocked if all these rumors turn out to be true. I just can't see them going with an Always Online console that also doesn't play used games....essentially forfeiting a sizable chunk of the market to Sony/Ninty next gen.
Personally, I would either skip the next Xbox or wait until it's sub-$200 to get it if I couldn't play used games.
Some? :lol All games have glitches in them. That was my point. Even beta-tested games like REach, CoD4, and Gears 3 had glitches in them at launch. So long as the game doesn't constantly crash on me, or dip to unplayable framerate levels, I'm straight.
Co-op was fun. Framerate was solid for me. I'll agree with you on the GUI, though.

I don't see any sci-fi FPS beating out a 'realistic' FPS ever again on XBL/PSN/Steam charts. At least not for any long stretch. Halo/Halo2 had no real competition on Xbox, and CS1.6 and TF2 have reign on PC for years now.
Halo 4 holding down the #2 shooter spot on XBL is about where one should expect it to be.

Things can change quite quickly
Just need a team that knows whats up, and can keep up to deliver a game that people want. And dont rush. I believe that can completely kill a game.

You obviously haven't played much Halo 4. This game's framerate dips all the damn time.

Halo can recapture the top shooter spot. Just gonna have to go all out in capturing the competitive/streaming crowd. Make an extremely customizable multiplayer suite with ease of setup, streaming capabilities, solid net code. That's the direction gaming is heading - social gaming - and Halo has plenty of the ingredients to make significant noise in that arena. Just lacking focus.

The Gears 1 code was a large motivation for me getting Judgement since my disc broke a few years back letting someone borrow it. Seeing how Judgement is and how the impressions are from people, I'm probably going to skip out on it and just pick up a used copy of Gears 1 sometime.
Also, first one to quote me will get a GoD code for Crysis 1. I've never played it and don't feel all that interested in it either.

When did the fiction of the multiplayer spaces change from "it's a simulation, lol" to "we gotta make sure that this version of the frigate is the FRI-488 VG, not the FRY-488 VG"? To top it off the playspace doesn't even look that great. It looks like it would be better suited as a Firefight map.
