I hadn't before a week or two ago. Had a here to Seattle flight for $300 less than anywhere else I could find, unfortunately that was still too much and too last minute for me to make it to PAX. It was a good thing to learn about though.

Now that most of my fears have been allayed by the Bulletin (primarily, the ability to roll back Grifball scoring to round based if the new method fails) i have only one remaining concern.
In Halo 3 and Halo 3: ODST the Campaign post game Carnage Report displayed the correct competition time in both the Game History and after the film in Theater mode.
For some reason the Halo Reach reports on bnet round up to the next whole minute. I'm not sure what they are doing at Waypoint. This 12:11 run displays as 12:57 in Waypoint's version of the Carnage Report (edit-might be counting cut scenes).
Wait till you see this masterpiece!
This may seem minor to most, and it is, but this inconsistency has made scoring speed runs extremely difficult, and verifying Mythic (SLASO) speed runs nearly impossible. I really hope we get accurate timing information in Halo 4 considering High Speed Halo planning to take on Spartan Ops speed runs.
And my wife. And a hotel room. And two cars.
So, is there going to be a launch party in the Seattle area?

That was Sunday night I believe, which would be the reason for my absence as well.

We're reworking the logistics for the girls for next year. I'll get a three day pass, they all get Saturday passes. So we all do the PAX thing one day, and I can do a bit more concentrated HaloGAFing. I was there, but didn't get to hang with you guys as much as I was hoping.

We missed each other completely.
We also set up an entire Halo 3 LAN that nobody showed up for. We converted it to a TU Reach LAN and it was nonstop full until the freeplay ended (and Vanilla, and the CE campaign co-op station with two solo TVs for maximum viewing pleasure)
ODST one didn't work out since ODST wants hard drives for Firefight LAN and PAX didn't have any this year
Should have stuck around Sunday evening! It was honestly one of my favorite parts of the whole trip. We all just sat around for like 3 1/2 hours eating and drinking and talking.

So here's a question. 343i Must have LOTS of promo and marketing assets, Hi-res images and the likes. Why do we never get hold of this content. Is it some copyright concern? I'm not wanting all the stuff pre release but some kind of huge .rar file containing the stuff after launch.

Doesn't the Xbox press site already not do that? There are artwork (renders), logos, photos and other PR shenanigans for Halo 4 on it.

Its far from all the promo material, Thats like a small subset, What about the renders from the 343i WU with the spartan armor renders or the images that are sent to distributors for preorder's.

I can't stand absentee. I need the experience of seeing it click on the screen.
Which reminds me, why the hell did we switch to electronic machines and not get something really simple like a receipt so you know your vote was processed correctly?

So the plan is to be at a midnight release for Halo 4, play Heroic solo campaign up until the polls open, cast my blue vote in a sea of red, return home and continue on.
Question: does the campaign start ranking you up like in Reach, or is it a completely separate experience?
