Yeah, I dunno how this stuff always goes the same way, I mean you know that probably half or more of the people that bought ODST bought it for Reach Beta (I actually love the single player experience), but then you have those people also who got codes and such all going to flood the servers the same day...

Keep an eye on your shields, long range DMR is deadly. The only thing i'm still wondering about are those close quarters headshots...but im guessing thats just a matter of not panicking in an up close fight/ running away with your back facing the enemy.
 
I just had about 2 or 3 good matches (Awesome Covy Slayer one), except for really long waits for them to start. Now the MM is down again. *sobs*
 
Played 5 games, and they were some of the most fun MP I've had in ages. Server went down before I could try arena, so I'll get to that later today.

Interestingly, it seems the beta makes my 360 either lock up or take forever to boot up. Not good for deploying to it for work today :D
 
Ok just got home, do you still have to use ODSTdisc, because it says the play-list is loading and my spartan avatar is all black d weird??
 
so someone explain the arena again -

i went 1400, 1500, high 1600s this morning got rated 1630. now im going 1600s every match.

did the first 3 matches only count or are these ones counting too?

Yeah, it has been down for me for about an hour now. I only got 2 games in this afternoon. I mean I am not hardcore, but I was looking for get maybe a half-dozen in before bed tonight just playing here and there.

Yes. Recon is the perfect control scheme. At first switching from BJ hurt me, and I wanted to melée with RB and action with B, but now that I've made that adjustment it feels so natural.

Thats why I cant wait for invasion. Always liked objective type team MP more than deathmatch (except Uncharted, people still seem to team up regardless).

Yup. Moving to Recon from Default did a LOT for me.
 
We had a party of 4 and it was a LONG time for us to be able to start looking for a game. However, we had two people drop and go solo that were able to search immediately.

Yeah, some Stockpile games can be very tense. :D

Not enjoying 3 plots though. I am finding them ending far too quickly. By the time you get things together, your team can already be miles behind. I would like it if the points counted up a little slower. Actually, they should do 3 plots with Generators. :lol

I've gotten a lot of work done for finals since the beta has been down. There's something good that's come out of all this!
 
How many players were online before the servers went down? There was about 181k earlier today, but I suppose there were even more later.

lol - it's hilarious to see new players running all over the place - looking over the cliff down at the river, for example, and nailing them with a rocket so they get a better view.
 
Was hoping to play with my brother today, but we were only able to get 1 game in in the past hour and half due to the server issues. Oh well.

No, I'm still rockin default. Bungie just decided to call it Recon this time around.

Real men play default Recon!
 
So glad I got my games in during F&F (100+). Not tryin to brag, just sayin'. I'd be upset if I took today off and got in 1 game in a 4 hr span :lol.

:lol Maybe. I tried BJ for my first 3 or so games, then switched to Recon and did exponentially better
well not literally, but still a lot better
. It's just so difficult to use AAs with Bumper Jumper, and with Recon I feel like I can manuver the easiest.

The only real difference with Recon is having Reload on RB instead of Melee. And I'd rather have melee accessble without taking my thumb off the right stick.
Default is perfect imo.
