So I played for the better part of the night, which amounted to about 8 games (matchmaking is super slow right now)

My fave gametypes:

Stockpile on Sword Base

and

Covy Slayer on Powerhouse


Stockpile is super fun and hectic. It's hilarious looking at your base, seeing 3 guys run out carrying flags, and just chucking a nade in the middle of them. The nades have so much more punch this time around.


Covy Slayer is great just because you can play as an elite. You feel so much more powerful than when you play as a Spartan. The feeling of the 'elite roll' is amazing, and if you pull one off in combat that gets you in killing position, it's damn near orgasmic.

New favorite perk: Hammerlock. So many times I just bait someone to chuck their grenades. Alot of kids have the habit of chucking a nade and then retreating behind a corner, so they dont even realize your popping off a lock to negate the blast. They come back around the corner thinking your shields are popped and it's end of story.

Lovin it.
 
Hmm, it seems like executions don't get listed separately on the statistics. Too bad.

On that Juggernaut video, I heard a new medal callout. "Immovable Object!" sounds pretty neat.

Ok, its official. The torture begins. But I am enjoying it none the less.. These clips and pics are getting me so hyped.. I should probably get some sleep... Cant wait to see this thread tomorrow.
 
Sounds like you should post that in the feedback forum.

Feedback on the website as well as the game itself is immensely helpful, we went through a lot of trouble to get bungie.net to a state where useful feedback can be made before we ship the game.

The Sword looks like it's straight outta Halo 2 still. Pretty sure you can buy a kids toy of one that looks better than that haha.

In that botched audio one, a frag gets thrown at some stairs and it just bounced up like as if it was a smooth ramp. <3

Ok enough, not watching any more until I get to play.

He didn't get the skullamanjaro, at the end of the match he still has 0 points. At least that's what I saw..

Ah yes, you are right. Thought it would only say "Skullamanjaro" if you yourself got the medal or whatever. That's kinda weird. It also threw me off because the person who was first had an indicator next to his name when the game was over. That usually indicates where you (the player) would be I would think. Oh well. My mistake.

Yeah, I guess maybe that gets announced to everyone simply because it signifies the end of the game? Or it could just be a glitch, I noticed a few announcer glitches in a juggernaut video.

Yeah, probably because a Skullamanjaro is a bigger deal than just winning the game flat out. I am looking into the future right now and am seeing everyone trying to win it this way in every game...lol. I don't know if I would ever want to win it any other way!
Maybe they should make it 15 skulls for a Skullamanjaro instead of 10? Or make it 20 to win instead of 25? I dunno. Maybe it works best the way it is. Won't know for another handful of hours here. :)

Hard to say how it'll turn out until we actually get our hands on it, they have plenty of time to tweak it before retail release as well.
I wish I only had a few hours to wait, c'est la vie:lol

basically just going over features and the game types, didn't notice much--if any--new info
