Halo The Series (2022) | Official Trailer | Paramount+

Doesn't look great, but I think its got promise. The trope of trying to control the super powered being and fight against the poors is going to be probably the brunt of the plot, so not going to be shocked lol

It worries me when I see the actors they got, I recognized 3 of them, those 3 probably cost like 6 dollars a month. The rest of them were off-the-street-budget actors, stuff like this is a classic warning sign that it's gonna be campy and mediocre.

Well, it's Halo not Hamlet.

Well, Paramount+ has only a few million global subscribers. Can't expect too much.

On the contrary I find that shows and movies that chase big budget stars can sometimes be terribly written - e.g Angelina Jolie in the Eternals. Whereas some shows with nobody's in them can end up being bangers (GoT had a relatively low budget cast at the start aside from Sean Bean).

the white haired chick with stockholm syndrome working with the covenant against humanity looks as bad as imagined.

I thought it would have happened sooner. I hope it's good.

The show is in its own separate timeline from the games. So in the games where they found Halo by accident, they know about it in the series before they get to it.
Ok, so it's still Halo, a tv show adapted from a video game. Those don't tend to attract the top acting talent.

I am all for a more normal looking cortana. MC voice is going to be a bit weird but honestly as long as it has a reasonable plot, I will be okay.

Looks cool coming from someone who's never played Halo. Which is probably the majority of the demographic they're trying to appeal to, ironically.

Hopefully the Covenant sympathizer and her forces aren't going to be depicted as a major villain to cut down on expensive cg aliens.

Microsoft couldn't spare a few million like Amazon did for Lord of the Rings I guess.

But it's deff not CW level CGI. It's more like video game commercial level.

actually maybe a little lower than that.
