If you're a power metal fan, you're doing yourself a disservice if you don't go to this show. It's fucking awesome.

I was at the Philly show last night, and I was amazed. Both bands were phenominal, and both had very good shows.

I went there more for Edguy than Hammerfall, and apparantly so did a lot of people. The pop Edguy got from the crowd was so loud and enthusiastic, the band themself looked genuinely suprised. It was mindblowing, and I loved every second of it. Oh, and Edguy said they'd be back again next year. So if you missed them this year be sure to go next year, as I'm sure they'll kick ass.

So, anyone going to one of the shows on this tour,? Was anyone there last night?

Is this tour gonna extend to Europe? It would be awesome if they'd come to the UK.

AFAIK, this is just a small 3 week US tour. I was under the impression that power metal bands are always touring Europe, though

Crap.

I used some shitty logic to rule this one out. I couldn't scrape together the funds to go see Rhapsody, whom I fucking love; so I couldn't justify sticking my neck out to see Hammerfall. Who is pretty good, but the lead singer Whatsisname Cans isn't really my kind of vocalist.

And the iTunes music store doesn't have the fuckin' studio version of Heroes Return. ARRGGHHH! Fuckin' hate "live" Albums. >:|

God damn it. I want an all Powermetal tour, and six months advanced notice so I can plan to attend. Give me Iron Maiden and Rhapsody on the same bill and I can die a happy man. Immediately after the show. You can stick the knife in my heart.

Haha - yeah, I would have put the $40 on my credit card for Rhapsody; but fuckin' Manowar? Not a fan. :X

If I knew more about Edguy, aside from the little I've heard on SWTAB I would have dropped the $25 to see them and Hammerfall.

Be glad that you actually have the choice of seeing them or not. Power metal bands wil NEVER perform in my country due to the pathetic market for them here. What I would give to see Edguy, Kamelot, Rhapsody and Dream Theater live......
