I have absolutely nothing against a new MLK statue, but because that video appears to have been taken from the worst possible angle, making the statue look like a monstrosity, I googled around to see it from a better angle. No luck though, the statue is horrifying from all angles. And without any context I would have no idea what it represents, let alone that it's supposed to be an MLK thing.

Artists nowadays are fucking useless.

MLK was a great man who deserved better. A full statue of the original picture complete with heads and bodies would have been a much better way of remembering a moment that is already perfectly captured in the picture that inspired this thing.

I didn't realize it was a cover at first and thought the statue was facepalming while rubbing his neck, but even then it looked too cartoony. The actual reveal is... hmm.

Tbh the statue is kinda creepy kinda scary imagine walking by giant headless arms/hands with no heads hugging each other at night I could picture lil kids being spooked/crying
