KOF and Sonic Riders should be the last Xbox games in Japan. The Dreamcast outlived its spiritual successor in Japan :(
a handful of great sega games doesn't make you the spirtual successor to Dreamcast got that?

It was a sad sad day.

I mean to think, being born physically and mentally handicapped. It must have been hard to live through the early years, being bullied by bigger kids...

You just can't help but feel sympathetic.

This time 4years ago expectations for the Xbox in Japan were high, MS went to work with a spring in their step, their heads held high....
*sob*

A fanbase built on ex-Sega fans does though ;)

Though the Xbox has certainly been bullied in Japan for many reasons, being smaller than the "other kids" is not one of them!

I shall play a funereal dirge using...Elec Org 2! in honor of Microsoft's fallen console.

She's doing a good job of hiding it with that smile, but she's really struggling to hold it like that.

surely its empty, there's no way she could hold a real one like that for any length of time. Neither could I.

No it didn't, the PS2 is still alive and kicking.

Virtua Figher, Gungrave, etc. - more SEGA content than the Xbox ever saw.

Most of you seem to be missing the point that the hardcore Sega fans hate the crap out of Sony and will not touch their products. DC and I know someone who still doesn't own a PS2 but owns an Xbox and 360 now. He borrowed DC's PS2 to play Monster Hunter, though.

[crying mother]

The Xbox would have been 4 years old if he were alive today....
He just couldn't blend in with the environment, poor baby....ohohohohoooo

Western marketing needs more rubber sluts!

Dammit man, every single one of your posts is a minor work of art.
You rock in a cool electronic way.

If the hardcore Sega fans went to Microsoft how come the Sega games flopped so badly? Just doesn't make sense. Even Sonic did poorly. Did MS turn them into Halo fanboys and they stopped giving a crap about Sega games?

"Ugh. Holding this gaijin controller is just so...disgusting. At least I don't have to get both my hands dirty holding the console like Mayumi..."

"...I think my back is breaking..."

Sega's fanbase is either spread out on all platforms, or stopped caring and moved on.

If Xbox didn't have Team Ninja, would Xbox have sold considerably worse in Japan?

Yes. Anyone who says otherwise is a liar.

Sega fanboys did NOT go to Xbox. Sega's Xbox games did horribly. Anyone who says they went to Xbox is blinded by their fanboyism. They were split between PS2 and GCN. The Sonic fans went to GCN and the rest to PS2.
