HAPPY MARDI GRAS, GAF!

Working getting ready for a Corporate Kitchen Audit tomorrow so my staff is plugging away making sure things are in order. Gym and Octopath later.

Will go home after work, eat, smoke some devils lettuce and chill since Mardi Gras is not a thing in Germany xD

Just remember kids

Only thing I know about Mardi Gras is that is tits & beads. We technically have "feitetirsdag"/fat tuesday, which is our "Mardi Gras", but I doubt anyone celebrate it, as it was pre-reformation traditions (mix of both heathen and christian) and most of it has washed away. We do have some remnants, like Fastelaven: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fastelavn

Basically our the time of Lent we eat this:

and we make:

And we have a carnival. That's it. No tits and beads for us. :messenger_pensive:

Did a Mardi Gras potluck at work today. We had Paul's King Cakes shipped in as well. And I made etouffee.

Will probably go out after work.

I had to look up what mardi gras is.
I got a job interview day after tomorrow so I'm mentally preparing for that atm.

Went to Mardi Gras in New Orleans last year. I definitely recommend it once in your lifetime.
so many young women flashing their breasts for cheap plastic beads

What's Mardi Gras?
Mardi Gras is a sort of celebration/festivity that relates to the day before Ash Wednesday and lenten observance. It has mostly become secularized but some Catholics like to call it "fat tuesday" because it is the last day practicing catholics don't have to abstain and fast for lent, hence the "fat" part.

always want to visit New Orleans even not during Mardi Gras. that whole eat everything Homer Simpson ate in New Orleans video always makes me want to go.

what is clotted cream? That fancy cream cheese or something?
It's cream so rich, thick and dense that if you stick a spoon in it, it'll stay up right. You have to spread it with a knife because it doesnt really run.

It's traditionally eaten with jam and scones in the south west of England, which are just bloody awesome.

It's flat out the best form of cream.
