Money is the antidote to toxins. Big corporate advertisers' formula is pretty simple. There are two numbers.
[a] the amount of money they feel they'll make on advertising, based on how many (and which) eyeballs the rating numbers say said advertisements will play in front of.
The amount of money they feel they'll lose from consumers who are offended enough to actually avoid spending money with the advertiser (note, the number of people offended enough to take action does not equal the number of people of are merely offended).
NBC doesn't have scruples or a sense of morality, nor do their advertisers. If they think that [a] > , The Don gets a new show. If they think < [a], he doesn't.
