Have any other e-book gadgets like Sony's Librie been released?

Just wondering, as I heard the Librié kind of sucked. Been doing a bit of light research on the subject partly out of personal gadget interest and partly for a class, but I can't seem to find any other E Ink readers out there. Anyone know what the dilly is?

haven't heard anything about them but I'm interested in them myself. Are any of these things even in America yet?

Based on a couple of reviews, they're nice hardware demos, but the interfaces are unintuitive and Sony's DRM makes them impractical. You're better off owning a PDA with a good screen and an ebook/document reader of your choice.

And even i am moderately surprised
i think toshiba has an alternative out now.

again, the sony product (hardware) is pretty awesome, but the interface is ass and the download system is retarded (automatically deleting books and you can only download 5 books a month from a pretty shitty selection (apparently)).

Sony - if only the software could be as good as the hardware :(. I'd love a Libre for manga browsing but i want to be able to take more than 5 issues out a month.
