Have your ever stolen anything?

I've stolen alot...nothing big really, just small stuff like food...but that was when I was a kid...anyone still anything recently?
 
Not anything recently. When I was a kid, use to steal batman toys. Take them out the box and stuff them in my pants. You know how Batman's ears were pointy? Ouch!
 
Not for many years. In my teenage days I'd steal something small every now and then, usually food from the grocery store if I was hungry.

When I was in junior high a couple of my friends and I used to shoplift all the time for fun. We never really got caught....we were damn good at it, especially me. I'd say the majority of stuff I stole were videogame magazines. Oh man......sorry Gamefan. :D
 
Well, I got caught stealing Pokemon cards in Tesco, on the second nearly empty floor. The clerk left the counter and I went under the counter to take a huge batch of pokemon card packets and ran my ass off then I fell over with them in my arms and I spilt them everywhere, the guard caught me but thankfully I wasn't changed, I was very young.

Those get destroyed if they don't sell, anyway. You should have just ripped off the cover and left it, it would be as though you stole nothing, because the store could still use that to get credit back for unsold stock at the end of the month.

I stole a GBA SP about 2 years ago. Store I worked at was treating me like shit, so I did a little creative inventory correction. :p
 
I was a bit of an asshole tearaway kind of kid, I hung around with a few bad kids and was easily led now and then... they got me into fights or got me thrown out of classes more than anything. I even had to leave one school.... as I got later into my teens, petty theft was fast becoming obviously petty to me -- and the more good people I met, the better person I became. I got some five finger discounts along the way anyway though...


• Earliest memory of theft would be money. And it's the only time I've ever stolen money. I was caught swiftly. I was very young... it was only a tiny amount, off a member of my family. And they would have given me it for what I wanted, but I was too stupid to ask.
• I used to do things just because I was 'egged on' to do so. One day I was convinced to bunk school, and further convinced to rob a porno mag. I left it (inappropriately enough) in a park. Speaking of magazine theft... Nintendo Official Magazine? Back when it was much crapper than it is now... so I didn't rob it again.
• Bug by SEGA on PC. Jedi Knight on PC. There was a day when you could just open CD trays in PC stores without setting off alarms. Very lucky I never got caught.
• I've stolen alchohol before too. The day we did that, we all got drunk on wine/spirits and swam in a canal. Thats how daft we were back then.
• I actually got a formal police caution before I was 18 for opening one of those phone junction boxes and playing about with it. That's stealing the phone operators electricity apparently :|
• Oh and music. But nothing I would have bought in shops anyway. I buy everything by those artists I like.


Think that about wraps it up. Not for dysfunctional behaviour in general, but for theft at least anyway. One day I just stopped doing stuff that might piss-off/upset others, or have me arrested / beaten.
 
A friend and I used to make a killing at school during the whole GigaTomagotchi pet craze. we would "acquire" them from Venture. even the knockoffs, and sell them for $5-$10 at school a piece.

No worries, that's been fixed. Only problem now is who is the dumbass admin that allowed GamerShu to turn the OT into an AOL chatroom...

I used to steal all the time. Mostly food and candy.

Back in high school with help from a friend I stole a new copy of Mega Man 8 from a lot of prizes that were going to be raffled off at a school-sponsored bonfire event. Too bad the game was a piece of shit. I doubt they missed it.
 
Yep! I was 14, my brother was 12, and I stole a bottle of Chanel Coco perfume. My Dad had walked out on my mum a week earlier (affair) and it was motherÂ’s day, so I wrapped it up and gave it to her from my brother and I (there was no way we could have afforded it, but I spun her some bullshit story of how we got it cheap).

Usually on MotherÂ’s day, Dad would pick up flowers for us to give to Mum, and we generally made our own cards. So that morning Dad came over with a bunch of crappy carnations, and IÂ’ll never forget how good it felt to tell Dad to shove the flowers up his ass because I got Mum her very favourite Coco Chanel Perfume. He looked really hurt too.

Funny, I look back on it now and think that was a really nice thing for Dad to do, it would have been hella awkward for him to walk back into that house that morning. Now I kinda feel bad.

Only because I told him to shove the flowers up his ass. Not because I stole the perfume.
 
When I used to be a bagger at Kroger's I would take candy and food all the time and eat it during break.

when I was a kid I would steal anything. Comic books, toys, candy, you name it. Not that I'm proud of it, but I think it's something a lot of kids do.
 
I stole a GameBoy and a number of games from this asshole in the 4th grade who use to bully a number of kids all the time. I remember him vividly crying as his mother picked him up from school. Fat fuck, that'll teach him. Years later, I sold it off for a GameBoy Color. =D

I cannot find my old post on the topic... but long-story-short... well not that long...

In college in the lates 80's, I would buy Turbo-Grafx 16 games and pull out the game and case... the case was the same size/style of music CD's.

So we would place a few taped pennies in CD cases and go to a small computer store and have them shrink-wrap the Turbo-Grafx 16 paper boxes with the seran wrap...

We would bring the box filled with an empty CD case and pennies to Toys R Us and say we got them as a gift and they would give us Geoffory Dollars...

We would take those $10-$20 Geoffory Dollars and buy a $1.00 pack of gum and get the change in real US money... SWEET!

Let's just say we had every Turbo Grafx 16 game, bought the CD player for the system by the end of our run...

Plus, Toys R Us would display empty real boxes... so we would steal those from the store and go back to school and load it with emtpy CD cases...

Over and over we did this, we had about 10 guys returning games... it was crazy....

Being a teen gives you idead, bad ideas. :P Me and my friend were wild back when we were 16. Made internet explosives, stole shit, broke into shit. I now realize it was a pretty stupid thing to do given the risc. I almost got caught with the explosive thing though, we blew a small container of some explosive powde or other, we got ratted out, and the cops had a talk with me about the whole thing, I just acted cool and basically said I got here as a result of a loud bang I heard and that was the end of our wild life. :P Got too close to the heat.

Oh yeah, during my shoplifting days, I'd steal porn tapes from Coconuts. They had cameras and those sensors you had to walk through at the door, so it was a challenge. It was also fun.
 
Oh hell yeah, all kinds of shit. Highlights include an entire Saturn at launch from the Software Etc. (now Gamestop) I used to work at as well as the entire Playstation launch library.
 
Really? Mind going and demoting/banning the guy who called me a slut for no reason in a gaming thread then? Seemed a little uncalled for seeing as I was just giving an opinion on the setup of FPS games.
 
Never anything from a store. A couple micromachines or toys from other people when I was 8 or so.

Aside from Movies/Music/Games/etc. Which I'd amount into the 10s of thousands. But that doesn't count :D.
 
I stole a pack of hockey cards, once. I got a Martin Brodeur rookie card and a Mario Lemieux special thing.

I did it out of spite because I thought the owner of the shop was a douche bag.
 
I stole a component to a Power Rangers toy when I was very young, around 9 or so. And a pack of Pokemon cards, but that was it. No stealing from me ever again.
 
I stole bubble gum at like 5, got caught, then didnt steal again till like 12 when i started my own landscaping company(cut grass) and one of my clients had a gigantic porn stash in the garage that I had to walk through, me and my associates(friends) would take 4 or so every time we worked on the house, we never got caught, them bad boys are probably still in the woods..
 
Not lately but I used to steal as a kid, things like small toys, candy etc. Biggest thing I ever stole was a toy cop set that had the plastic handcuffs, cap gun and plastic badge.
