I am going to be landing at Honolulu on the 26th of April and heading back to Japan on the 30th, obiviously not enough time on the islands.
I wanted to know if staying around honolulu is a good idea, and taking a day tour to big island to see some volcanos and parks etc is a good idea?
Any must do's?

If you are planning to drink, stay in waikiki. If not, you could stay anywhere. It's not a large island.

Go to the big island if you can. I used to live there (Hilo). It's so different than Honolulu. 4mile beach. South point. Volcanoes national, go to the observatory. jump off rainbow falls... Eat poke and get a spam musubi at 7-11.
