HDMI ARC arrows help!

I cant figure it out googling, so I'm asking here: I just picked up a soundbar that is arc enabled (Dolby Atmos etc) ... My HDMI cable has an arrow on each end one point away from the cable end, and one pointing back to the cable. I use my tv (75" samsung q8f) as the main source for streaming. Which direction are the arrows on the HDMI ARC cable supposed to be going?! I don't have a BD player or game console connected to this tv. It's just tv and soundbar.

What? You just connect the HDMI from your tv's arc HDMI port to the soundbar.

The arrow designates the recommended direction of the signal carried by the HDMI cable. The arrow should point from the "out" HDMI connection to the "in" HDMI connection. As an example, when you hook up an AudioQuest cable from your cable box to your TV, the arrow on the cable should point from the cable box to the TV.

That was a 5 second search

So point the arrow to the soundbar from the tv. The signal is going from the tv to the soundbar *edit, or is it? I've never used a soundbar

I really don't think it matters at all, it's a cable and probably under 10m
