Thoughts on the 2021 He-Man show?

They had a whole rebooted series making a whole new He-Man story...and released it at the same year as the Kevin Smith one so 99% of people only paid attention to the sequel to the 80's cartoon while the new show got ignored...mostly.

It did still get 3 seasons, different universe so there are some changes like Prince Adam being kidnapped as a baby and shenanigans leading to him being raised in a tribe far from his kingdom, Adam doesn't even know he's a prince for a bit, his sword also doesn't just give him and his cat a power up form, but every one of his allies and friends gets a spiffy super form too.

...And Skeletor copies that when making his own Dark Masters Of The Universe:

Haven't watched it yet just saw a few clips of it on youtube randomly. Not a big fan of the style but I'll probably still give it a try someday.

I had an embarrassing amount of MOTU plastic as well. Never a girl figure that I recall though, my sisters barbies had to stand in for those.

Those toys were awesome. Big, chunky, heavy plastic. They could take a BEATING in the sand pit. The vehicles were cool, the minicomics were dope. Just everything was peak form.

GI Joe stole me away eventually and their shit was amazing as well. I look at the sad state of kids toys today (shit for kids, not 'collectibles' made for adults to display) and the quality is just dogshit. Fragile cheap plastic, poor molds, no creativity. No wonder kids don't buy toys anymore.

For sure, and yeah, I totally graduated to G.I Joe and M.A.S.K. and all that cool shit too. Not only has the quality in both materials and actual toys gone waaaaay downhill, but they are expensive as hell now too. A normal 3.75" Star Wars figure from Walmart is now $25!

Well, the game uses the original show designs and tone, so I believe it probably won't follow that Netflix show. Yeah, we can hope it will be a real He-man game.
