This is exactly what I was thinking. Not that there is anything wrong with that, I loved the D&D games.Looks more like Capcom's D&D games to me unless you'd call them Golden Axe knock offs too.

Licencing. This looks fun, but the trailer just makes me wonder why hasn't anyone ever made a game where you have models of the toys just beating up on each other in mock playsets ? Like straight out of our childhood imaginations?
All they had to do was copy the right homework.I really hope and pray this is better than that recent GI Joe game.
I think there's one for the PS2There has never been a He-man game before has there?
There was a He-Man game on the Atari 2600. I kept getting killed when I tried to play it. There is some trick to playing it.I think there's one for the PS2
I forgot about that one. It's also on the Intellivision. It's the one with the wind raider ship. It's similar to defender if I remember right. Not what I call a shining example of the property, lol. There was a He-Man game on the Atari 2600. I kept getting killed when I tried to play it. There is some trick to playing it.
DAY1!!!
1980s childhood nostalgia overload. There has never been a He-man game before has there?
It uses the original He-man and Tela battle gear not that "H" symbol they added later. Awesome. Also no Kevin Smith bs feminism to ruin it.
This is going to be so fun! Hopefully there is some upgrade mechanics and its not just a golden axe clone. Not that I don't like GA, but I really liked the newer Double Dragon Gaiden and Streets of Rage 4. Maybe something like the dnd Shadow over Mystara could work too.
Holy Fuck, 2d beatem up set in 80s he-man universe, thats manly af
I'm in just for the "legs all day long" Teela!
I'm still waiting on a proper tactics/X-com G.I. Joe game.
I think Mattel or Hasbro or whoever just won't even look at these IPs for anything less than a ludicrous amount of $$$, so no way some indie/small dev can get it just to do some good work. Or if they do, ALL their budget went to secure the IP and there is nothing left to make an actual game.
Heck yes, I'm in.
They better use the classic theme as well and not some modernized bullshit version. Be great if they use a lot of the old school sound effects too. If nothing else have an option for the classic sound effects.
Also, RIP John Erwin, voice of He-Man , who died last December.
To whom this may concern,
While we're in this 2D retro phase, a Thundercats game would be nice.

WOTC has FINALLY started showing these characters in art, not to mention the little nod in the DnD movie, plus I see a lot of them featured on shirts and stuff, as well as that toy line. So wouldn't surprise me at all if we get them in a game. The recent comic was...ehhhh, as they gotta force Sheila to the front over Hank. Plus the kids are canonically VERY young, like 14-15, so they are stuck with aging everyone up, including Bobby (who mysteriously stays a short person for some reason) or they gotta deal with the rule34 crowd in uncomfortable ways. They need to make an RPG based on the Dungeons and Dragons cartoon. Make it the final episode of the cartoon.
The cartoon did have an ending, but it was never animated. They can easily make a final episode or just another story.WOTC has FINALLY started showing these characters in art, not to mention the little nod in the DnD movie, plus I see a lot of them featured on shirts and stuff, as well as that toy line. Fans of the original Dungeons and Dragons cartoon created a fan-made finale called "Requiem" to provide a proper ending after the show was canceled on a cliffhanger. The fan-made project, using the official script by series writer Michael Reeves and a combination of existing animation and new voice work (including one original actor), was completed in 2020 and is available online, though its quality is variable.
The Original Cartoon's Cliffhanger
The Creation of "Requiem"
- The 1980s animated series Dungeons and Dragons ended abruptly in 1985 with a cliffhanger, leaving the characters' fate uncertain and the story open-ended.
- Fans discovered that the official finale, "Requiem," was written by the series' writer but never aired.
- In 2020, fans created a new version of this intended finale, making it a "proper" series finale.
- They used existing animation from the show, a new voice cast, and the original script to bring the story to a conclusion.
- One of the original voice actresses for the show even reprised her role for the fan-made episode.
I am more of a late 90s baby, but I still think Masters of the Universe is dope (even if it was after my time).Damn, they got this forum full of 80s babies by the balls...

Thoughts on the 2021 He-Man show? Finally a He-Man game! Day one for sure!
Hope we get a bigger 3d action adventure game eventually like Darsiders/Stellar Blade or better yet a full blown giant RPG like Witcher 3/4.
Love He-Man Revelation and Revolution plus the 1980s movie and started watching the original 1980s animated series bit by bit.
I had an embarrassing amount of MOTU plastic as well. Never a girl figure that I recall though, my sisters barbies had to stand in for those.MotU has long been one of my favorite properties out there since I was a young child. Owned the toys back in the day, and own literally every single vintage toy from the line now too, including the massive Eternia playset.
While this is amazing, and I honestly thought I'd never see the day, I can't help but feel like Masters of the Universe deserves more. A full-fledged open world action RPG with the whole cast of characters and vehicles and stuff would be completely amazing. I know this is all we're going to get before I end up in the dirt, but let it be known that it could've been so much more!
