I know somebody(who is male and is not gay) who resembles that description. And you're right.

On the other hand, I have a young sister in high-school who's all into the Harvest Moon and Animal Crossing-type games(who is also into Hello Kitty).

The scariest thing is, they have an entire store devoted to Hello Kitty and other sanrio-related crap at my local mall. I'd like to know how much money that crudely drawn cat makes in one year! I'd bet it rivals the likes of Bugs Bunny or Mickey Mouse at this point.
