So just arrived for the TGS!!, man the hotel is packed with gamers, game website journalists, gameshopholders... It seems that 50% of the people in this hotel having a white PSP :lol

This is my dinner ....with a Pepsi Twist..no Mario gimmick but gundam seeds..better than nothing.

Where are you staying at in Toyko?

I was there a 5 weeks ago on vacation, but I stay at a hotel near the Narita Airport show I had to take a train to Toyko for two days... T_T

The airport security in Japan is so much better than the US. It takes about 10 minutes to get out of the damn airport after you land because they don't check your damn luggage twice.

the comedy is that i'll be getting through TGS tomorrow armed with a hip flask full of whiskey...

i'm going to go to Sonys stand and tip over all their displays in protest of their continued selling of quality games and platforms! ;)

(i'll be too busy playing their GAME OF SHOW ALREADY SO DONT ARGUE action/puzzle game to actually tip anything over...)
 
Heh, I am already starting to get a little collection of those Gundam Seed Pepsi toys around my apartment. Wish it was something I was interested in! :lol

Damn, that sucks. :( I hope you feel better...are you going to go anyway? Maybe wear one of those masks? I couldn't go to TGS anyway with my leg like this...so I'll be hunched over the computer all weekend seeing what's going on. :)

I'm behind on gaming this week anyway. Still haven't been able to get down to the store and pick up a GB Micro, Phoenix Wright, and maybe GITS SAC for the PSP (not too interested in it as long as you have to have 2.0 firmware)
 
oh, i'll go even if i have to spew up all throught the presentations !

No mask for me - i intend to give all the visitors a nice reminder of their time in Japan! :)

UMD Emulator (basically FastLoader 0.8 from Humma) supports ALL PSP games now. When you load an ISO, it takes you to the main PSP UI where the ISO you loaded with appear as an inserted UMD. You can also use sleep mode during games now! Unfortunately, overclocking only works with ISOs now (not UMDs)...but I'm sure he'll fix that down the line.

Wow, that's funny. One of the G4 guys just came down with a bad cold today after thinking his allergies were bad yesterday. I hope to god I don't get it. After I leave here on Sunday I have a crapload of producing to do when I get back.

Cool, I'll see if I can find this and then pick up GITS when I get the chance now. Don't care about the overclocking; I just want to be able to play games without having to update the firmware. :)

Got the white PSP (189 eur for value pack), iPod nano (208 eur for 4GB version) and Game Boy Micro (89 eur). Fucking rocks!

-sweet shrimp, ? (salmon eggs?), calamari
-tuna, ? (poop?), fatty tuna
-eel, some other kind of shrimp, ? (looks like octopus tentacles)

Hmm...

I'm just not the biggest fan of Japanese food, unfortunately. When I was last there, we spent a night staying with a friend's relatives. They fixed a TON of different food and I basically had no choice but to try everything. Some was good, others...didn't really do much for me, you could say. :\

It's interesting how big vending machines and arcades are in their culture.

Here's a question, is vending machine food priced really high in Japan? Or is it just what one would expect to pay for it?

Not as sure about food, since I only see snack machines in arcades and such, but drinks generally sell for between $1-$1.50 depending on what kind of drink it is and how large the can/bottle is. The food I`ve seen (anything from ramen to hot dogs) is real cheap, too. Maybe $1-$3 where I live. Not that I am going to try that stuff anytime soon. :)
