Help a PSP n00b with accessories please?

OK so I am getting a PSP March 24th at launch and am looking for some kewl accessories (leather cases, cables, chargers and whatever else is out there)

Should I just go to EB games and check out their stuff there?

Not c-o-o-l but unless you have a digital camera or something else that uses it you're going to definitely need a USB A Male / USB Mini B Male cable. Lol i'd have been much happier with one of these in the *cough* value pack than some of that other useless junk.

Are the memory sticks the only "necessary" accessory? I've never actually bought an accessory for any of my GBs in the past.

How is the value pack case? I mean, that screw-in case is nice and all, but if the pack in is decent i'd rather not have to spend anymore. I guess my main use for the case would just be to pack the PSP into a backpack or something, is it good enough to protect it in that kind of situation?

With the value pack I'd say probably not. I have a screen protector on the PSP, the PSP in the value case and then also in the Mr Driller DS Pouch for extra padding. Seems to be alright though I'm still quite paranoid.

Hm, yeah I just read that other thread that mentions the value pack case leaving scratches. I guess I'll probably use it at first and just either use a screen protector or microfiber screen cloth with it. I'll get a decent case eventually.

Has it really been "proved" that the value pack case really leaves scratches onto the screen?
Or is it just your average paranoia with your new gadget?
