Help HDTV weird problem !!!

Just got my 32" JVC...But when beginning to test things through the RGB inputs I see everything with a purple tint on it...It's weird since this doesn't happen using composite input. It happens on Dreamcast/PS2/GC so I doubt it's the cable...Any ideas ?
I played around the menus and changed many things...but this doesn't make anything. Any ideas ?

I swear a friend of mine had the exact same problem with PS2 and component cables. Either way it is your PS2 I think. Change settings in the menu :)

edit/ all of your consoles huh? Hmm weird then. Anyway my friend had the purple look too and fixed it.

It's pretty weird...I doubt the TV is broken or something...but it happens in Dreamcast, PS2 and GC...
Gonna try the Saturn...

try chaning the settings of your screen. these are most of the time individual setted for each input. so it is possible it looks ok trough composite but bad tourgh dvi/vga/component

Try going into your PS2 and changing the setting to like Yr/Rs/Re (Thats not exactly how its spelt out, but thats how it looks). It should be in the config menu.

Well, I bought the components cable for the PS2 and the issue didn't appear...It's pretty weird...It's only when using BOTH of the SCARTS with a RGB source.
I entered the service menu and played a bit with RGB values...Now it doesn't look that bad...but well, this also affected component/composite and I guess HDMI/PC inputs too. I am gonna call JVC to see what they have to say to me.

Here comes a JSR pic to see the issue:

It's weird the feeling of playing this TV after so many years of 14" gaming. The experience is totally different.
Tried Tekken 5 and looks awesome in PS+16:9, Primal too..The Getaway has some weird problems when running at PS...weird.

LOL...Called JVC and they basically said that there is nothing wrong with the set and that the problem is my PS2...

Are you saying that the Gamecube and the PS2 PAL are seeing like ass in an HDTV?

A friend of mine has changed his Gamecube and addes a ModChip to it, the ModChip forces the Progressive Image in the Pal Games without no problem. But I don´t know if the modchips for PS2 can do the same.

No. I am saying that whatever I connect through the RGB SCART inputs looks with colors distorted.

Played Tekken 5 in PS+16:9 through component inputs and looks awesome.

Better than a normal TV?

No Jaggies?

Or you are talking about a game that supports progressive?

Of course there are jaggies although this model does an awesome scaling, much better than in Samsung sets.
You are viewing 480i/p images on a 720p native set...There is no way it will look perfect. This is a LCD...not the awesome XBR960...sniff...

The tech service told me that the JVC only accepts RGB signals with the sync on the composite signal...whereas most consoles use the green signal to bring it. Is it true ? PS2/GC/Saturn/DC all fail to display a proper screen...

It's the first time I see this on a TV...

I once had exactly the same problem (purple tint) on a Samsung TV when I connected my PS2 through RGB. The problem was that the TV's RGB input was quite tight and my cable was not inserted to the very bottom. So one color (Green) was missing.

After pushing it in really hard everything worked fine. I think that the RGB input on your TV may be damaged. Go the the store where you bought your TV and ask to test if it works fine there with JVC TVs.
