I used to love playing this old Apple game where a tank (like the one in Space Invaders) moves left and right at the bottom of a walled in area (like in Breakout) shooting up at objects that bounce down at you gradually bouncing lower and lower. Some of the objects would split into two smaller pieces when hit. In later levels, some boulders would drop straight down and block your path. Does anyone know what game this is?

I checked www.allgame.com and couldn't find anything that sounded like it. Maybe it was a rare game. It's definitely not Centipede. The screen is basically empty except for the tank on the ground and the objects which bounce off the ground left and right with a high arc, so you have to avoid their bouncing while you shoot at them. Thanks for the virtual Apple link. It might take forever to look through so many games, but I'll try it. Whatwasthatgame.com doesn't seem to have any Apple games, but maybe I'll ask about it.

Edit: No, it wasn't educational. There isn't much more I can say about it. The falling objects were just circles or rounded rectangles.

Edit: Not Arkanoid or any big popular game. Just a simple, fun game.
