LIAR and a FELON
It starts out, "Do you remember..."

Google's been no help. I know it's a male solo artist, but that's about it. It sound like it's from the eighties, but I'm not sure.

Hang out with Steve.
There's also "September", by Earth, Wind and Fire:

Do you remember the 21st night of September?
Love was changing the minds of pretenders
While chasing the clouds away

Our hearts were ringing
In the key that our souls were singing.
As we danced in the night,
Remember how the stars stole the night away

and so on. But it was released in the 70's. Click the link & scroll down to listen to a sample.

Good catch; when I was thinking about what song he could possibly be referring to, this one didn't cross my mind for some reason. I like that song. :p

It's definitely not Michael Jackson, nor is it Eath Wind and Fire. It's a much darker song.

There's one other bit where the tempo changes and he says what sounds like "Candy" (weird, I know). I couldn't make out any other lyrics (if I had Google would probably have found it) because I heard it in a bar.

Lisa Edelstein's dad touched my private parts. True fact.
Hey, anybody know that New Order song that goes "it's plain to see that I love you more than you love me." I think it's new order anyway...what's the song title..
