HELP! (Japan GAFers who DID NOT get a GB micro)

No, this isn't a swap thread like Mejilan. :) But I do need a little help...

I'm aware that the second controller Famicom faceplate is available to gamers who bought the Famicom micro and registered it with Club Nintendo. Is there anyone here who didn't buy a GB micro Famicom edition and either plans to buy a different color or none at all, and can use my registration code to get me the second faceplate?

Or, if possible, is anyone willing to make a second account to help me? :D

I last heard the thing was delayed till further notice.

Thanks!

You don't need to buy the Famicom micro necessarily, you just need 200 points in your Club Nintendo account.

Also, dont quote me on this, but I believe you can get as many as you can under one account as long as you have the points...

Yes, I think what Troidal is saying is true. If you'd given me 200 club nintendo points, I would happily order one for you ;) The main problem is that you can't register more than one of the same game (SKU, specifically). You can register more than one hardware though.

Have a look through your JP games and see if there's any points in there.
I reckon your new GBmicro, your biohazard set, and maybe some other stuff you got?

I've farmed all my Club Nintendo points to john tv ('cept GB micro/Pikmin 2 since he has that). I'd give some of them to you, but you own all those games already. :)

No biohazard games 'cept 4 have points since it was released before the thing existed.

I do have a GB micro, how many points is that worth?

I was under the impression, since in the US you can only register one SKU period, that it was the same as for Japan. Guess not.

BTW, for the GB micro you sent me, did you hang onto the warranty card? Didn't see one in the packaging. When I bought my GC and DS there, they took it out and stamped it.

No, I saw him stamp it with my own eyes and I didn't open the box again after that :( Did it fall out when you opened it? I think the hardware is worth 20 points... if you gave all your points to john tv, maybe he'll get the faceplate for you ;) he's probably got about 10,000 points anyway!

I'm in the same boat. I live in Canada but have 6 JP DS games unregistered, and a Famicom Micro + 2 GBA games coming this way.

Is, um, that enough?

Nevermind jonny, I found it. It was part of the instruction booklet. I thought it was a separate card like the other two systems.

the reason you can only register one product on Club Nintendo or Stars is because retail staff were abusing the system - opening games in store and registering eight copies of the one game - this prevents that - harsh - I know - but fair in the end to honest gamers and consumers.

also - it is highly highly unlikely that the Famicom II faceplate will ever be available...

CVX - drop me a PM and remind me exactly which points you've given me, and then let's see if there's anything we can do.

I can give you all the points to get this faceplate in Japan. I live in Italy. Please send me your e-mail via PM. I will send you all the stuff there.

Thank you. :)
