Every import online store I checked so far is sold out!

I didn't plan to buy the DS at launch, but after some reports I am interested to get one.

Therage = soldout
VGP = soldout
Tronix = soldout
Hk-success = soldout
liksang = soldout
american DS at play-asia = soldout.

anyone know any other import stores to check?

Supposedly on the 26th. i didn't bother asking if they had the units in when i went their this morning, but i didn't see any DS games, accessories, or anything in the glass cases, so i wouldn't be surprised if they're holding out until Black Friday.

They had plenty of units for sale.

All DS systems(in all regions) have the same language options IIRC. So yes the japanese have english as an option.

I was at the Mountain View one on Sunday afternoon, didn't see any units in the case... figured they sold out or didn't stock 'em... went across the parking lot to Gamestop where right when I walked in 2 people were trying to buy 'em... but they were both denied... walked across the street to Target which was cleared out of systems... went back to Walmart, asked casually if they had any left, the woman said "Oh yeah, we kept them under the register. We have... (looks in box) one left.

I was on the fence (money's a little tight...), but since they were sold out elsewhere, decided to pick it up.

They are really getting sold out everywhere, both online and in retail stores. After this weekend I doubt people can get their hands on one.

There are at least 50 DSs between the wal mart and target that are so close to me I'm literally looking at them out the window right now. I'm in eastern iowa. If a gaffer living IN AMERICA needs me to buy them one, I will, and only charge you for shipping (and the DS obviously).

I went to my local GameStop and they had 15-20 behind the glass case as well as 5-10 copies of Super Mario 64 DS as well as other games. It didn't seem as if it did to well in my area. Funnily enough, when I asked the clerk if they had any he was like "Uhh...Umm....Yeah, right over here!" He didn't even seem to know what it was

pretty easy to get a ds for near market value on ebay. I dont think demand is nearly as high as some would lead us to believe, probably cheaper buying it here than the import stores.

i was surprised at how little extra you have to spend on ebay to get a DS (as opposed to purchasing from an import store) . i had originally ordered at liksang but they are saying that orders are being pushed back - so i purchased a DS on ebay yesteerday with express shipping to Aus, should have it by next week with mario 64 + FTM. most offer overnight shippign within the US - you could just do that
