OK,

I've figured out why mass pinging with steam and other server browsing softwares wont work for me.

My ISP cut down ALOT on concurrent internet connections from each IP address because of massive ddos attacks during thanksgiving, well thats good and all except it breaks server pinging software (I get like 100 server in a split second then nothing and my net connection is dead for a minute till it resets)

Anywho if any of you play on good servers for pc fps could you plase post the IP addresses and game in this thread?

I can still connect by manuelly typing IPs or using a favorites list (where it only has a few server it pings)

Thanks for your patience over your gaming issue using Buckeye Express.

Here's an update:

For Batllefield please make sure you have done the following:
1)downlaod and install the patch released Dec 1st.
2)Update your sound and videocard (recommended by game creator)
firmware/software.
3) Connect using servers list from the game - NOT a clearinghouse (like
Steam)
4) Maximize the number of servers available
5) once playing the game, do NOT update the servers list - this will
open multiple server connections causing your connection to "drop" -
actually you max out the number of server connections Buckeye currently
allows: 175.

For CounterStrike and Unreal Tournament:
1) use the serverlists thru the game- NOT a clearinghouse (like Steam)
2) maximize # of servers available
3) once playing, do NOT update the available servers list (see note
above)


We apologize for any inconvenience this situation has caused, and wish to
relay that Buckeye is hoping to restore the number of connections we allow
(back to 500) as early as this Friday.

We will be contacting you again early next week to update and follow-up on
this issue.
